20 miles away you can get AVGAS for at least a dollar cheaper. Go to KHOE (Homerville), while Waycross is now charging $5.65 a gallon, Homerville is charging $4.45. It comes off the same truck during the same delivery route!

On our flight from Melbourne, FL (MLB) to Jasper, GA (JZP) we stopped for fuel and a break. Met by Steve as we taxied in, who promptly greeted us, fueled the plane and had us on the way within 15 minutes! Great "southern" hospitality!

On April 1, 2008, my wife & I arrived over KAWS, flying in in a rented C-172 from Apopka, Fl (X04). We're from WA state. Our arrival was greeted with great southern hospitality & our baggage was graciously handled! We were offered the County airport van, and asked not to put fuel in it! After a restful night at the Holiday Inn, we flew on to Cartersville. We're really impressed with the southern hospitality & friendliness presented at Waycross!

I've been stopping at Waycross in my Rotary Engine powered RV-6A since I first started going to Sun & Fun 10 years ago. You'll find a free lunch served by some fine local folks every Sun & Fun. Always met by a line boy when I taxi in, service is professional and friendly. Keith and his crew are what keep me stopping there each year. Even after their good natured ribbing last year, when I taxied in with the ragged remnants of my pitot cover warning flag still flapping in the breeze {:>). Good place, good folks.

Dropped in to AYS on our way to & from Sun-N-Fun for their special Sun-N-Fun fuel price & BBQ. This is our seventh year stopping at AYS and the service & food is always great.

WOW...I have heard about these type FBO's and finally had my first experience with Waycross last night. It was late and the weather forced me down to wait it out. I was over Waycross heading to Jacksonville. I announced my intentions and a warm voice came over the radio welcoming me and giving me local weather. I landed and met a gentleman named Keith. He brought me inside as it was cold and wet. I asked him what time did they close and he said that they already had done so but that he was going to stay there until I could head home. He then offers up cooking some hot dogs, makes fresh coffee and with true honesty wanted to stay and help me out until I left. He offered up that I rest inside and lock up when I left but I could not do that. I was taken a back at this type service. Today being back home I look back at the experience and give thanks that I am able to fly myself around the country and that there are FBO's out there like this that go way beyond typical customer service.

I flew into AYS last night on my way to south Florida. I was met on the ramp and tied down and fueled. They loaned me a van for the night and gave me a map to find a Holiday Inn. Great service and a nice stop.

The folks at the FBO and the local pilots are some of the friendliest and most helpful you'll find anywhere. (Steve, Keith, Mike & Trent). You cannot go wrong at this facility!!! FYI - DeDe's Bakery in the white building under the radar dome on the SW corner makes the best and biggest glazed donuts I've ever had. They're giant! The bakery also offers breakfast and lunch till 2PM. WORTH THE STOP! A+++

From Karl Gerling on 28-Sep-2007
Great service here as always. Also there is an excellent bakery within walking distance of the FBO. The bakery has homemade doughnuts, pastries, sandwiches, and other good stuff!

The reviews are really true. I cannot say enough about the hospitality provided by these wonderful people. They literally fall over themselves to help in any way, and go out of their way as well. If you need to land anywhere in this vicinity, make it to this airport somehow, you will not be disappointed.

From ERic Parlow on 24-Apr-2007
Every time we have stopped at this FBO the guys have gone above and beyond, the gas prices are very reasonable, the service is quick and friendly, and the facilities are great! They also let us use the van to go into town and gave us a map and directions. I'll continue putting this FBO in the flight plan!

From Karl Gerling on 08-Mar-2007
Some of the best service that I have received at any FBO. These guys are working hard to earn your repeat business and the fuel prices are very reasonable. Crew car is available and the antique coke vending machine serves glass bottle refreshments for just 75 cents.

Stopped at Ware County for fuel on the way to Florida. Friendly staff, good service, good fuel prices. They also have an old time vending machine with 6 ounce Coca Colas. Recommended

From Ron Mathis on 04-Feb-2007
A nice long runway, an ILS, inexpensive fuel and the nicest people you could wish to meet. A real pleasure.

From Tom Funk on 26-Jan-2007
Stopped here for fuel on my way to Gainesville Ga. Weather was hard IFR with t-storms in Atlanta area so I decided to wait awhile. FBO guys overheard me telling my wife we would just wait and went out of their way to loan me a crew van and draw a map to a local great family restaurant without me even asking. This airport is a slice of the real south I remember growing up in. It is on my list to always stop here when flying north, what a great place!

From Jeff Leonard on 03-Sep-2006
I had to land here and stay overnight due to severe thunderstorms. WOW! What a great place. Keith is the best! He gave us the courtesy vehicle for overnight and for the next day when the clouds were too low to continue. When we got back to the airport, he came out and helped us move our bags to the plane. The flight planning room is great as well as the antique Coke machine. Like all FBO's should have, there is a popcorn machine. I cannot say enough good things about Ware County Airport and Keith. Other FBO's could learn a LOT from them. I will be back!

From Robert Cochell on 02-Apr-2006
What a nice place! Was returning from Raleigh to Tampa and had 35+ knot headwinds, needed fuel, contacted via UNICOM and Keith offered to stay open past closing to accommodate us. I have stopped here many times, but never posted before, these people are "Southern Hospitality" in action. I understand Ware County operates this facility, so it is rare to see an arm of a governmental agency so "user friendly" with happy employees; to whomever is responsible - well done.

From Peter Crooks on 06-Mar-2006
Great Place. Sorry it took so long to put this in. Travel there alot, service always great, as all go out of their way to help and good fuel prices.
