From Jeff Veers on 23-Feb-2009: Dropped off some passengers on a charter and enjoyed a terrific (and fast) breakfast at the on site restaurant. Very nice ramp, nice facility, and good service. Fuel was on the high end of what I've been seeing lately
From Jeff Pett on 09-Feb-2009: Arrived later Saturday afternoon on trip to Mich from FL. Airport was almost vacant. No one came out from Rhoades when we pulled up, and had to wander the terminal calling out for someone... No response. A restaurant worker called someone to bring a fuel truck. Friendly enough people, just not on the ball at that time on Saturday.
From Nick Johnson on 03-Nov-2008: My brother and I flew in here in a Diamond DA-20 for breakfast on Sunday. The tower was very helpful instructing us where to park when the ramp was almost full of airplanes. Hangar 5 restaurants has the best pancakes I've had for a long time. Rhoades also had great wx, flight planning, and Internet facilities. The pilot's lounge looked very comfy with 2 huge fluffy chairs and a couch. After breakfast, half of the airplanes on the ramp were leaving and the tower was great in handling it all. We will definitely be back.
From Aric Newsted on 13-May-2008: Great Class D airport. They have a nice restaurant inside Rhoades and the staff is nice. I stopped just to get fuel but ended up staying the night. One of the cleanest towns I have ever been to.
From Alan Gardiner on 04-Sep-2007: Stopped here on Labor Day during a x-country flight. Worked out well, the restaurant is open 7 days a week, has a good selection, fast, looks out on the ramp. Placed the fuel order on arrival and were promptly serviced. Terminal is modern & clean, and the local folks come out to watch the airplanes.
From Duffy Fainer on 25-Aug-2007: Perfect refuel en route stop. Had to sit out some seriously gusty winds after seeing a groundspeed of 40knots with my Skipper. Nice folks, great restaurant, comfy pilot lounge. Definitely checkout the air museum 60secs away...Small, free, and a wonderful display of WW2 stuff and history of the field during wartime. I'm happy I checked it out.
