Excellent place to stop. Great fuel price especially for FS. They lent us a car to get something to eat and the staff was just outstanding in every way. Very helpful. Would go out of my way to stop here again.

Flew in for the VA Tech football game 9/17. The ramp was full with King Air's & Citations but the fine HOKIE FBO folks squeezed us in parking on the tarmac. Easy in & out via ROA TRACON. RNAV 30 no issues. Hokie shuttle runs to and from the airport to Lane Stadium. AVGAS reasonable and quick turn.

Dropped off one pax at BCB. No problem landing on the short field, but on a return trip a few days later to pick him up, I chose to go to ROA instead due to heat, unfavorable winds, and being near max weight - only R12 is safe to use (my opinion). Nice terminal at BCB, friendly staff who fueled me quickly and very accommodating. I'll certainly come back if the runway conditions permit.

Virginia Tech airport is currently undergoing runway construction that began 4-4-11, and will last approx. 7 months. Runway length is currently 2025' and will change as the project progresses. No nighttime operations during construction. Lights and localizer are out of service. Check NOTAMs and see Virginia Tech's website for more info.

Well, went to Roanoke to drop drivers, on the way back had a very strong headwinds that dropped the speed down to a crawl, decided to stop and fill up since we just filled only what we needed at Roanoke, we land its 7:45 or so in the PM on a Saturday 2-26-11, not a soul around and we stop, a lady walks out and asks if we need help (remember they closed already), told her its not imminent but it would be good to top off, she goes gets the fuel truck and gets us our fuel, Lovee is her name, believe she works on the weekends only, what a great attitude ....I mean smiling nice courteous didn’t ask for a thing or show that it was a favor, I hope the FBO owner or manager reads this and appreciates an employee like her, I would.

Visited BCB for college visit to Virginia Tech with my son. Called ahead to ask about transportation. Told shuttle bus stops right at airport and runs to campus. Running late, and would have missed appointment, Airport Mgr gave us keys to courtesy vehicle, and just requested we put in some gas (of course!) Great service, and approach over stadium and campus is inspiring. Thanks for the warm welcome.

Reception and treatment could not have been better. Our 172 was treated as well as the Citations parked next to me. Terminal is new and spotless. Staff is fantastic: friendly, helpful, funny. Food at the Wikiteria just across the street is surprisingly good. I had the "Fiesta Burger" and would rate it pretty highly. Beware: Roanoke can't maintain radar contact for the Loc 12 approach if you're as low as 6000.

I called ahead to check out the condition of the field and spoke with Dick who advised me that the midfield taxiway was clear of snow for an aircraft of my wingspan. Upon arriving, my passenger and I found a great airport with plenty of parking and Dick was there and handed us the keys for the courtesy vehicle. It was an immaculate Ford Excursion and we drove it around the campus for about an hour. For those of you who are used to the small cars, you might not want to take it. On departure, Dick was there and even advised a back-taxi due to some of the taxiways being a little sketchy due to snow removal. I will surely be back to VA Tech Airport in the future and would recommend it highly.

I stopped in at KBCB not once but twice back in January. Once on the 14th and again on the 15th. Both times the cafe nearby was closed but a local deli will deliver sandwiches to the airport! Not bad service, delivery of a 6.00 sandwich! I had no time to get to an ATM so the deli said, "Get us when you come back through" I was two dollars short the first time. Would definitely stop through again! Even the airport people were great!!!

Great airport w/ friendly staff and cheap (relatively) fuel prices. Regina even got the restaurant to stay open for us after hours to feed a couple of starving pilots. Can't ask for more than that!

Stopped in for fuel and rest stop. A little confusing where to park for servicing until you decide that it must be in front the new brick terminal building. Quick refuel, friendly folks and relatively cheap gas.
