Dropped of a Cessna 206 at Telford didn't even buy avgas from Avitat. They tied down the airplane (it was snowing) and gladly gave me a ride to the terminal to catch a flight home. Very friendly and helpful.

Not an airport/FBO conducive to GA, specifically the little guy. A few inconveniences like no marshaling on arrival, self-parking, self tie down, no rent-cars at the FBO, and you must be escorted on the ramp to load luggage. The staff offers basic help but didn't get very creative to help us get a mountain of luggage to a Hertz car.

We cleared Customs here and ended up spending the night. The Airport, Customs and FBO all treated us VERY WELL. The FBO directed us to the flight service station (closing this month) arranged a hotel ($50/night) and transportation all with a smile. We will fly a C182 and recommend this airport.

Flew from Schenectady, New York (SCH) to Old Town Maine (OLD) on Tuesday, 10/10 to look at a plane for sale. Stopped at BGR (10 sw of OLD) and Avitat to fuel up and have lunch. Great service and the folks bussed us over to Captain Nicks for some great lobster and picked us up promptly with a phone call.

Nice facility and good friendly Maine personnel. They were quick to offer me a shuttle to the rental car counter in the main terminal upon arrival. However a new person at the FBO failed to mention to me that I could have left the car at the FBO on my return. Fuel was pricey, but in-line with what I've come to expect at larger airports. I do agree with past posters that having a person walk out to marshall you to a parking spot would be helpful. I had to avoid a set of chocks and jockey my plane back around by hand after landing. Not the worst place I've been for sure overall.

Landed here with an Angel Flight and asked if they gave an AF discount for fuel. Quick answer was yes. Soooo, not asking how much (my fault), I said give me a top off. Imagine my surprise when the discount turned out to be .07/gal or the same discount they give for cash. And they even spilled fuel over both wings. What a deal!

Parking fee of $9.00/day for a piston single. Not waived if you buy their grossly overpriced fuel. For this no one meets you on the ramp, no one marshalls you in, no one ties or chocks your aircraft. They will cheerfully take you over to the terminal to get a rental car. Very high prices for minimal service. Unfortunately, no good alternatives, which explains the problem.

I recently stopped at Bangor to refuel before leaving for Canada. They have the highest fuel price in the area. After I returned, I found that after buying their overpriced gas, they also charged me an additional $9.00 parking fee....This is the only Avitat that I know of that charges an overnight fee if you purchase fuel. They have good service but there is much better for much less almost anywhere. Check around before stopping at BGR. The staff were wonderful and courteous but they don't set the policies and prices.

Very accommodating staff to go along with friendly controllers and FSS. After a long flight in solid IMC including a missed at BHB, landed here and was well served. Took me to terminal to get rental car; helped my wife with bags; tie-downs for the C182 are right in front and well done; handled the rental car drop-off for me. Thanks, well done.
