Recently diverted to Bishop secondary to headwinds and need for fuel. Nice fuel island open 24/7 and nice runways. If you arrive after hours you may be in trouble if you need to stay in town as the only taxi service in town appeared to not be running. Thunderbird Hotel has an ad in the foyer of the FBO and were nice enough to come out and pick me up, saving me from having to sleep under the wing!

Great airport for our tour group of 10 planes en route to Mammoth Lakes when Mammoth-Yosemite runways closed. The line guys couldn't be more fun and professional. Will stop again!

This is long overdue! I've been to Bishop many times. I usually take my bicycle with me and ride into town for lunch. Once when two friends decided to fly up as well, Steve found bicycles for my friends to use, too. I am most thankful to Steve and Eddie who found me a tail wheel tube at 5pm on a Sunday when I had a flat tire! I also understand that Schatz bakery will leave a loaner car at the airport if you call ahead. I haven't tried that yet. Hard to beat the friendly reception at Bishop.

I love Bishop airport. The airport personnel are friendly, there is plenty of ramp space, there are multiple runways to choose from if the winds are fickle, and their fuel prices are always competitive. $6 overnight parking fee, waived if you buy fuel. If only Pete and Al's Cafe were still in business...

This is a GREAT airport! Lots of wide and long runways (WWII Bomber Base), as beautiful area as you will find anywhere, nice people and good services. And reasonable fuel!! Give Bishop your business.
