The fees and fuel are insane, but the convenience to Boston is also amazing. Signature service was very good.

I went into BOS in early August in my 206 with my son to go to a Red Sox game. The fees are indeed outrageous. But service from the line and desk folks at Signature was actually pretty good. The whole security thing is a joke. But the people who administer it all are nice and have a sense of humor about it. They were clear that me and an 8-year old, rushing to get out ahead of some nasty weather, posed no threat to national security.

Look if you're going to a major airport than you know your going to spend some cash. Why because little guys need to stay in little airports and stay out of our way:(

Someone in the local govt or the airport authority needs to get involved here. The outrageous fees are the reason I will not go here and I will spread the word to everyone I deal with. This is a direct reflection upon the leadership at the airport authority and local govt. If you read this and have something to do with this, please get involved.

I agree with the comments below. Their fees are outrageous. The fees to drop in for 1 night in a Cessna 206 were over $200.00 plus fuel that was $5.61/gal, which is approximately $1.00 per gal more than other local airports. On top of that, I ordered fuel and paid for it, then went and checked weather, filed a flight plan, loaded the luggage, and preflight the plane. When I check the fuel with my dipstick, I suddenly realized that the gallons on board were the same as I had checked the night before. I walked back to Signature office, and asked if fuel was added. He said it was. When I told him the before & after gallons were the same, he walked into another office, and returned, saying there was a mix-up. If I had not checked the gallons, I would have paid for fuel I did not receive on top of the outrageous fees. I will avoid this airport in the future.

Yes, the fees are outrageous and sometimes they get overwhelmed with traffic. But these guys do try. I flew in on Labor Day weekend to take my kid to college. My Aztec was stuffed with what would soon become the contents of his dorm room. The Signature folks sent two linemen with carts out to offload the gear, which they did, in the drizzle, cheerfully. The rental van was there on schedule and everything went smoothly. I visit KBOS several times a year and almost always enjoy good service despite the silly security rules. The fees are another matter, but I figure the avoided cost of ground transportation from the suburbs brings it close to even.

We continue to find the service at Signature Boston competent. There are a lot of constraints here due to Massport, but overall, we get good handling here. The fuel prices are astounding, but I'm sure what Signature needs to pay to be here, coupled with the extra security procedures, have to be covered in some way.

I flew up to Logan in my small 2-seater experimental Glasair. Using the other satellite airports was not an option, as they closed before I needed to depart and the trains didn't run that late. I was charged $191, including a $53 "security fee" and had to go through a security screening! (Like I'm going to be a threat to my one passenger??) Then there was a $48 "Massport fee" and $50 to park a plane that takes up as much space as a power cart. And $25 to handle it. (Strange, because they didn't do any handling...) A COMPLETE rip-off. I did not get any value for my money! I don't mind paying a little extra for the convenience of the subway and a quick ride to a major city, but this is more than TWICE what I have paid at other Class B airports, including IAD, BWI, and PHL.

We had a very positive experience here on an Angel Flight. We took the same pax in and out. While they were at a Boston hospital, Signature gave us a crew car to go to a local restaurant. Very courteous, even though they were quite busy will other arrivals and departures.

I know it is not the best of ideas to go to Signature at Logan and expect a quick turn, but passenger itineraries dictate. We called on the phone; we called on the radio 20 minutes prior to arrival. The ramp was not busy. It took 20 minutes to get a fuel truck out to our Hawker. The disappointing part is that while we were waiting, there were three fuel trucks parked in front of the building, and a room full of line service techs in the building with absolutely no sense of urgency. I was not expecting a "quick" turn, and I do understand that theirs, is a busy facility, but this experience earns Signature another black ball.

You guys ain't gonna believe this one. Me and my Co-pilot had to pay a $50.00 security fee before we left? Not to mention $160.00 ramp fee and I had to park the jet myself. Oh and what's with the TSA security checkpoint inside I had to practically strip after returning from lunch. The bad part is the security guy saw us leave and then return 30 minutes later. What I'm a threat to my own passengers? Give us all a break Signature and go out of business, The FAA is more helpful then you bums!
