Good place for fuel and a tie-down (but your own tie-downs) Very lonesome airport. Some flight training happening but not much else. FBO was locked on arrival and departure. Get the gate code or the phone # so you can return to your plane. Not really attended to but the flight training folks are helpful if you are lucky enough to find them at the airport.

Picked BQR as a cheaper alternative to IAG for a trip to Niagra Falls with the family. For a small airport that doesn't answer the phone or Unicom, it's quite active with air traffic. Self-serve fuel was easy. No fees! Advice: -Bring your own tiedown ropes. -Get the gate combination before you leave the property. -If you use Enterprise rental car, make sure you keep them apprised of your arrival and departure times. We arrived 40 minutes late, and waited 1.5 hours before they could send a car out to get us.

Great service, great fuel and hangar prices. I fly to Buffalo 5X a year, and have been using Prior (also excellent service) at KBUF. With the recent spike in fuel prices, I found KBQR to be an affordable alternative. Enterprise delivered a rental car right to the gate, and the additional drive time was less than 10 minutes.

Easy access, no fees, friendly people, low-cost fuel. It was a great experience and I'll be back the next time I need to go to the Buffalo area. Only thing lacking is an instrument approach and I understand that is in the works. Support this airport and send a message to KBUF and Prior Aviation that they can take their fees and high-priced fuel and shove them.

I switched from the disappointing service at 9G0 to BQR for this trip. Many nice things about this airport but much under development. No fees for parking on the transient ramp overnight. Bring your own tie down straps. Electrical outlets for engine heaters coming soon. Call ahead for status. Large hangar door was inop during my stay making deep freeze departure unpleasant. Staff quite helpful but not effusive. If the staff kept in mind the needs of transient pilots a bit more I think this would be a great experience. They have the right idea but need to up the ante to seal the deal. There is no longer a displaced threshold on Runway 8 and the contact info is incorrect. George Ezzo is the main contact at this point 716 860 6044. I believe this is his personal mobile phone. Would probably be easier on George if the contact info were updated with an office number and an answering machine that gave options for whom to call for what services.

Beautiful airport. Runway and facilities in excellent condition. Convenient location to fly into if traveling to the Buffalo area. They have the best flight service around with extremely nice personel and cheap to no fees. HIGHLY RECOMENDED.

Great self serve fueling. However, credit card reader unable to read any cards. Fortunately it was during business hours and help was at hand. Call to confirm reader works if you plan on an after hours fuel stop.

Obstructions on approach end of RWY 8 gone, so there is no longer a displaced threshold for RWY 8. Displaced threshold markings on runway also gone.

The reviewers weren't kidding about how nice this place is. Flew in for the weekend to visit a friend in town. Bought cheap gas and got stuffed silly with the best hot dogs I've ever eaten by the local ramp rats. They even waved the parking fees. Do bring your own ropes, as the tie downs have none.
