Great self serve fueling at a fair price.

Great little airport for visiting WNY, and great (relatively speaking of course) fuel prices. Two things, however: (1) Please get an instrument approach--this would make BQR so much more accessible in cloudy Buffalo, and (2) for those unfamiliar with the field, the runway lights are very hard to pick out when approaching from the southeast due to trees lining the field--I would recommend circling around to another side in order to identify the field more easily.

BQR is the best place to fly when you're around Buffalo. The fuel is the lowest price you'll find and also the pilot community on the field is great. There's mechanic, pilots, friends, etc. If you fly to Buffalo, you have got to go to BQR. It's close to town and all services. Come over!

New row of hangars being built. Meanwhile, primary tie-down area unavailable.

Had a great experience stopping at Lancaster for a few days to visit family. Transient parking is limited but so was traffic so it wasn't a problem. Eric, the airport manager, was very helpful and very friendly. One important bit of advice he offered -- bring ropes as most of the transient tie-down spots don't have them. I'll definitely be back for future visits.

I needed to leave my Grumman AA-5 at Buffalo-Lancaster for several days. Eric, the airport manager, was very accommodating, even offering to clear up some hangar space to make room for my plane if inclement weather was forecast. Cost of fuel was very reasonable. I understand that they will soon be upgrading the fueling system, as well as adding about 2,000 feet to the runway. I will definitely stop at Buffalo-Lancaster whenever I am in the area.
