Flew in to BST from HSV on vacation. 12 bucks a night for a tiedown. The ramp is under construction so be careful if you land after dark! Recommend the Seascape Cottages - great place and super clean.
Good stop with helpful FBO. Flew in to visit friends in the immediate aftermath of a snow event. A call in advance was enough for Sandy and Buzz to dig out clear spot for our tiedown. Despite what was obviously long day of digging out, evidenced by the tall snowbanks, the airport was clear, taxiways safe, and a place made for our after-dark arrival. Nice treatment worthy of a turbine for this SEL operator. Met the airport crew the next morning. They were out getting the students started on their instruction and keeping the aviation dream vibrantly alive despite the weather caused additional effort. Very cool and inspiring. Good place.
Wow.... Great airport to fly into. Highly recommend. Sandy from the FBO assisted with fueling. Fuel pumps secured so need someone from the FBO to assist. AVGAS as advertised on AirNav. BANGOR Approach too very helpful. Stayed at the Belfast Bay Inn (AAA 4 Diamond Award) www.Belfastbayinn.Com. Absolutely one of the finest Inns in the area. Judy & Ed wonderful hosts.
