Brought a military Beechjet in today for lunch with the family. Discovered GOV fuel contract expired and they are not bidding for renewal, couldn't get the manager to waive ramp fee for 2-hour visit, departed for home station with sour taste in my mouth. We've been coming to this airfield and LA Aircraft for years since Katrina, though I suppose as military trainers we must not be the sort of customers they want hanging around their facilities. One of our pilots was even held by the FBI there after declaring an emergency (as he didn't want to give out crewmembers SSNs). Don't think we'll be visiting BTR anymore, I guess there isn't money to be made selling government fuel...

We mobilized for hurricane Gustavo to Louisiana aircraft with a fleet of 17 helicopters; the facility and staff were outstanding. Even though the rest of the area was in a state of chaos, the staff was so helpful and went out of their way to provide us with everything we needed. Huge kudos to all especially, Donnice, Paulina, Brook and all the line and management staff. It made the whole process easy and a real pleasure.

I fly my Bonanza 25-30 hrs per month and have flown to at least 100 different airports large and small including 20 plus times to LA Aircraft. Beyond any doubt, it’s the best FBO I go to. From the owner Jim, to the manager Donnie, to operation Donnice and Brooke, to chief pilot Mike, to the line crew, they are the best. From the cookies, to ice cold water, massage chair, first class facilities, quick expert service, it’s the best. If I ever break down or have a layover, I hope its there! The best I've seen!

Flew a military Gulfstream V in on 3 Sept after Hurricane Gustav. This little FBO took care of about 40 flight crews (Army, Coast Guard, air ambulances, and civilians) providing cookies, coffee and a great atmosphere. I will use LA Aircraft the next time I go to KBTR. Thanks again for your great support.

Stopped back in to Louisiana Aircraft on 6/4/2008. Had a much better experience with line service this time. Look forward to stopping in there again soon.

First Visit was on 11/1/2007. Ordered 15 gallons per side in a Baron. Paid at the fuel desk and upon returning to the airplane noticed the fuel sight gauges were still indicating what I landed with. Asked CSR if the plane had been serviced. Acknowledged that it had. Upon questioning her about the fuel level in the tanks I asked for a meter reading from the truck. Line Supervisor said it had been serviced but he would check. Finally admitted it hadn't been done. Strike One. Fast forward to 4/14/2008. Made two stops in there today. Got fuel both times. Second time line service left the fuel cap off the left tank. Don't know what crawled in there! Very sloppy line service that doesn't really care. Maybe if they charged $6.50 a gallon they could hire competent people. It sad because my clients like the facility. New ownership obviously hasn't changed anything. Watch those fuelers.

Received excellent service. The girls at the counter arranged for rental car. The line people met us and assisted with bags into the FBO. The staff was very pleasant and helpful providing directions to where we were going. Fuel pricy $5.39gal We're glad we got to see Louisiana Aircraft. We will definitely use their services again.

I have had several of trips to BTR and used Louisiana Aircraft a few times. If you arrive in less than a jet do not expect service. I have had to wait for fueling and wait for cars that I had arranged for. Staff has been less than responsive and not very courteous. Avis rental is terrible and Enterprise will show up late with your car even after calling the day before with the arrival time. Needless to say not a pleasant experience and very expensive fuel. Why go there!
