Outstanding service and a friendly atmosphere, in today's era of the giant pretentious national FBO chains, it is refreshing to be treated with respect when arriving in a piston-powered airplane. Good work North Atlantic Air.... We need more FBO's like you!

Arrived 6-25-08 to NW Ramp at North Atlantic Aviation. Promptly parked and chocked by a friendly lineman who welcomed us to Beverly. The FBO is in the process of being totally remodeled and is beautiful! Very friendly and professional service with a brand-new Jet ramp being built within a few weeks! Excellent overall experience! Thank you, Gary Saunders KGON

Nice visit with friendly, courteous service. Landing fee for a piston single (Bonanza) was $10.00, handling fee of $10.00 was waived with fuel purchase. Landing fee is imposed by the city of Beverly.

Outstanding service! Was planning to fly out around sunset after visit to the area, and discovered alternator problem. Everyone at the FBO went out of their way to make my family comfortable and assist with rental car. Darren, the mechanic, worked on the problem as it was getting dark, and volunteered to stay late to fix it, which he did. Called my cell phone twice to update me. When you're stranded away from home, a little courtesy goes a long way. I as extremely pleased with the service we got at North Atlantic.

AVOID THIS LIKE A PLAGUE!!! Went to North Atlantic. Bought fuel in a P210, 50 gals. worth. Came back same day in an MU2 to pick up my family. Shut down and kids got on board. Asked for fuel and told too busy to fuel. Explained that we'd be back in two days and fuel up then. We were hit with a SEVENTY (yes $70) landing, ramp, and facility fee. The owner told me the county is taking all this money. Monday (2 days later) I called the airport authority, and was told the FBO rapes all transients. The only fee at the airport is a $5 tie down fee. Amazing, we flew in again parked on the east side as instructed to by the authority in marked transient spaces, and was billed $5. FBO's like this destroy GA!!! Pass the word on.

Response from Robert Mezzetti, Airport Manager
I'm the airport manager at BVY. If Mr. Windmiller is refering to me or my staff as the airport authority who alledgedly said BVY FBO North Atlantic (NA) "rapes all transients" he is wrong. NA collects a landing fee for the City if it's a corporate or commercial. If fuel had been purchased the ramp and facility fees would have been waived. Airports have no uniform methodology for applying charges, some are higher some lower. Usually neither airport owner or FAA say what a FBO must charge, the market and what's needed to meet bottom line drives charges, but the method of applying charges cannot be discriminatory.

Maybe this is an airport in transition? You can park for free at the base of the tower, or pay for parking at Atlantic Aviation. We turned our C182 into Atlantic off the active and were promptly met and fueled. We left the plane overnight on the other side of the airport and Atlantic aviation charged us only for the fuel (no ramp fee) so I would cheerfully buy fuel from them again.

Terrific service on a recent visit. Hertz car ready to go, hangar space as promised, and a great "we're here to serve you" attitude.

Very Professional experience. I took my Cherokee there a couple times last summer. Ken and the mechanic that did some work to my brakes seemed very honest. Overall, It was enough for me to leave the other side of the field. I would return any time to give them biz.

We're fairly frequent visitors to the Beverly airport in a training Robinson helicopter out of East Coast Aero Club at the nearby Bedford airport. Usually we stop on the east ramp near the tower, the restaurant, etc. There are no fees for stopping on the east ramp. Out of boredom, a B767 pilot and I decided to check out the west ramp and North Atlantic. The facility is kind of dingy. Just for stopping by to say "hello" costs $30 ($10 landing fee, $10 ramp fee, $10 handling fee?). My friend commented that the people at North Atlantic and the adjacent flight school were remarkably unfriendly, though we did end up buying some 100LL. One interesting thing about this side of the airport is that there are three TV helicopters based in hangars here. If you need to take a soda/bathroom break and don't want to get hit with $30 in fees, the other area airports (Nashua, Lawrence, Norwood) are free of these charges.

I received very good service at North Atlantic. We were directed to parking close to the office, which made unloading convenient. The following day, the lineman, Alex, fueled my MU-2 quickly and correctly. A GPU was provided for the start at no additional charge. This may not be a major airport, but the service was first rate.

I have flown into Beverly several times in my Arrow and received great service from the folks at North Atlantic. Easy to deal with on rental cars and they have always brought the car right to the plane for unloading. Small-town service at a big-town airport.
