I was there on 4/4/12, and it was great. Great view of the runway, and the lava chocolate cake with ice cream was wonderful. Get that...

I had a lunch there. The food and service was great. I really liked the ambiance. Highly recommended.

The restaurant gets very high marks for WWII ambience, airport view, and the building itself. However, they get low marks for the Sunday brunch, which is what my wife and I had. Some of the buffet choices tasted no better than a middle school cafeteria – hit or miss, although I did enjoy the fresh made waffles. I have heard their regular menu is better on the food quality. 5/5 Stars for the setting, 2/5 Stars for the brunch. We left our C182 at McKinley Air after purchasing their fuel to avoid the $15 ramp fee, and paid $10 for them to transport us to/from the restaurant about 1.5mi away – the courtesy car was on standby for an oil-burner crew with higher priority. I may try the other FBO, Ultimate Air next time although on the other side of the airport. McKinley gets 4/5 Stars for overall good service.
