Flew in from KHEF, first visit. Terrain is a little intimidating except for 23. Very nice stop, cheapest fuel in the area. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Will definitely return!

Flew in from Oshkosh to Cumberland, Aug 1, for couple of days to see friends. The lineman went to trouble to find a car rental for me at a decent cost. Too bad they lost airline service - but makes it a luxury GA terminal. $5.00/gal was the best avgas price on this flying trip.

Stopped in here to get a good deal on fuel. The price had gone up - as expected. The fuel truck came out immediately and the staff was very helpful. I was happy to find the AOPA flight planner on the computer so I was able to quickly get my flight plan done. It's a beautiful area, a nice airport and a pleasant staff. I wish I could have spent more than 30 minutes here, but the weather at my destination was getting worse by the minute.

While doing my BFR we stopped over at CBE to take advantage of the Avgas price of $4.25-9, as of 4-16-08. Attendant said it wouldn’t be staying at the current price much longer. Once the next shipment arrives, presumably this week, it's sure to go up. Restaurant is open but at 6:30 PM the place is like a ghost town. At least ya don't have to wait for service. As always pleasant and helpful people there. Starting in April, on the last Sunday of each month and on 'till fall starts the EAA Chapter 426 Breakfast Fly-In, 07:00 hrs to 12:00 hrs. Always a good breakfast and hangar talk.

Nice airport. Flew in for first time on September 30. Historical museum on second floor of terminal building interesting. Runway Cafe available for meals with good sandwich selection and home cooked specials. Had difficulty finding Cafe but FBO directed us to the square green-topped building behind them. There's airplane parking available in front of Cafe, which is next to Dirty Bird detailing. We'll be back again to look around and eat at the cafe.

Nice terminal. Upon landing, asked where to go to get gas and was told to taxi to the main terminal. I stopped right in front of the fuel truck to minimize their travel time. After about 20 minutes waiting and watching the JetA fuel truck go and come back while ignoring me, I wandered into the terminal to find 4-5 employees sitting there. Upon asking again about avgas the senior guy's (probably all making OT, it was Saturday) pointed at the "new" guy (who had been driving the JetA truck) who promptly filled me up while complaining about his lazy co-workers. Looked like at beautiful area but I couldn't stay long.

Great airport, visited on 7/23/2007 and the airport diner was currently closed apparently in ownership transition. I was told it would reopen sometime in late summer.

We had to divert our business flight in our C206 to Cumberland due to weather late on a Thursday evening. The airport manager was there and made sure we had space in the hangar, gave us the crew car overnight, and even got us a discount at the local motel. The line crew got us out the next morning very early, and we were on our way. Very good service and very pleasant people.

While not specifically noted, there is a restaurant (Emma's - I believe) on the field that has to be one of the best-kept secrets on AirNav. The food was GREAT. Prices were extremely reasonable and the wait-staff made us feel like we were family. I am going to make another trip just so my wife can experience it.

Had lunch at Emma’s on July 20th. The food is still good and reasonable. A very laid-back airport great people a must for the $100 hamburger trips.

Flew in on April 29. Good food at Emmas. The ground crew offered me 100LL at $3.25 within minutes of parking. Friendly help all around. A new fueling stop for me.

Friendly line personnel filled fuel order promptly, however, lack of staffing may affect how quickly you receive service if they are attending to other duties. For rental car, don't bother with Enterprise. They've always been expensive and difficult to deal with. Use Xpress Rent-a-Car located less than a mile from the airport. They rent clean, used vehicles at reasonable rates.

Nice, well-maintained airport with a friendly operator - was offered services even before I reached the taxiway. Beautiful scenery all around makes for a nice approach in VMC.
