I join those that had great things to say about Cable. I had called ahead inquiring about a crew car, and Valerie called me back to confirm that one was available. I arrived as scheduled and was able to go touring a couple of colleges with my son. No time limit was set for the crew car, and I returned the favor by filling the tank. Dave Cable was manning the Unicom and was helpful and very pleasant. Although I flew in VFR, my IFR rating made the approach a non-event; I always get flight following, especially in the LA basin and the transitions are easy.

Called ahead and asked about a loaner car. When I flew in on 12/23/09, UNICOM called back with winds. The airport was easy to get in and out of. After landing, UNICOM directed us to the transient parking and the location of chocks. The Loaner Car that we called about was available; while not being the new car that you are used to these days, the 80's model Caprice Classic was well taken care of and we were given the car all day.

We visited CCB again, called in advance and they offered us a free loaner car. When we landed I was asked on the radio if I knew where the transient parking was located. I responded yes and that they had a car set aside for us. We hadn't even gotten the plane tied down and Dave Cable drove up with it. This airport is outstanding. I also recommend the restaurant "Maniac Mikes".

EXCELLENT! Flew in May 21, 2009. Called traffic and got a reply from Unicom with winds. Landed and got parking instructions from Unicom. Borrowed a crew car for a few hours. Self-server 100LL was $3.70; filled up. Go to their web site for noise abatement instructions, and then visit one of the best airports in the country!
