Planned stop at Oxford, Oh didn't pan out due to excessive crosswind - diverted to CEV for gas on our last trip from KS to VA. Parallel taxiway and nice runway indicate a good deal of attention from the local government. Airport is too small to support a full-time FBO. Self - serve fuel is a big draw, and well priced! However, we stopped in on Labor Day, and be forewarned, since the airport doesn't have an FBO, the gov't employees take the holidays off. No bathroom available.

Ran in to thunderstorms early on 06/10/2009. Arrived before they opened. Called the phone numbers on the door, the guy came in about 35 minutes early and opened the hangar so I could push the Cessna in. Stayed for six hours, nice people, and nice facilities. Reasonable fuel prices.

Beautiful long runways, taxiways and a surprise ILS for such a small place. The super nice attendant Jeff pumped the very low-price 100LL for me, even though it was self-serve. They have a classic old cop car as a crew car and when I told Jeff I was going to a memorial service, he asked "can you hold on a minute while I tidy it up a bit?" He grabbed a huge leaf-blower, opened all 4 doors and "cleaned it out alright!" I just stood and laughed -- wonderful. God, I love small airports! Stop here, grab the patrol car and go have a bit to eat in town. Great place.
