The self-serve fuel pump on the KCID west ramp was the pride of the GA-friendly management when it was first installed several years ago, with reasonably priced 100LL and a nice new user interface. I was therefore surprised and disappointed on my last visit to find the hose reel motor inoperative, the grounding wire reel ratchet broken, and the fuel price considerably higher than surrounding airports. It would be great to see these issues are corrected in the near future.

New, easy to use fueling system with decently priced gas for a large airport. I was at first unable to figure out how to access the restroom facilities until I asked some other people using the fuel pump after me. Advice to CID, make the restroom access process more clear!

I arrived at the Cedar Rapids general aviation ramp as part of a PilotsnPaws Compassion Flight (where the self service fuel is located). No facility with restrooms, not even a portal potty nor water for the animal. For an airport of this size to not offer a paying customer access to a restroom is ridiculous.Response from Todd Gibbs, Director of Operations, The Eastern Iowa Airport
Mr. Grayden: Thank you for your feedback. There are restrooms available in the building used to exit/enter the secured ramp. We will revise our existing sign on the self-serve fuel island to clearly indicate where these restrooms are located.
