We got in late but our rental car was still waiting. They brought it out to the plane so we could load it up. Free WiFi. Good flight planning area with computer wx. Good directions to downtown St. Louis but the signs on the way out were turned around. Really! Only problem was they didn't really fill up the tanks when they fueled us. The plane took another 9 gallons after I noticed and asked them to top us off.

We executed an Angel Flight relay here. The service was great and a mechanic even made a quick repair to our aircraft on a Saturday and did not charge us. Great FBO and their fuel is cheaper!

Great FBO. Free internet, nice pilots lounge, right next to the museum. Friendly service.

Convenient. ATC handling is superb. Ideal handles a LOT of freight customers so experienced people are "on the job". Suggest working out cab arrangements prior to landing. I've tried both ways and calling ahead is the best.

I completed my BFR with Ideal several months ago and have been renting their aircraft ever since. I am highly impressed with the service I receive EVERY time I rent. Everyone seems to go out of their way to do anything they can to help. You will always receive EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!

Very friendly. Great service, Very convenient to downtown St. Louis. Even arranged rental car and had it waiting when we arrived. Can't wait to go back again. St Louis is a great town.

Stopped in for two nights. Very nice line and office staff. They were extremely helpful and the hospitality was great. They worked to finish replacing a hangar door in time to get my plane in the hangar before storms came through. I will make it a point to visit Ideal again.

Once again, excellent service by the day weekend staff. Always a smile and a hello. Great facility, great service.

Great FBO, nice people to deal with. Had an errand to run while we were there and the owner was gracious enough to play chauffeur and drive me around. Later that day they dropped us off at Oliver's for dinner (great restaurant right on the field). Highly recommend this FBO.

Ideal Aviation has a great flight training operation. The 172M has low hours and is well maintained. It was a great experience from start to pilot's certificate.

Tied down on March 30th and 31st. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Gave us a great hotel recommendation (Our lady of the Snows). When a storm came thru, I remembered that I didn’t secure my controls. Called them and they did it for me saving a trip to the airport.

From Joel Lehrke on 31-Mar-2007
Arrived at 9 pm in the dark. Greeted by two linemen. One pumped gas while the other helped us get luggage with flashlights. I had called about hangar space and a storm was near. Said yes to the hangar and it was towed and tucked in before we even left. Took cab to the Arch area, about $15. Great Service, Quick, Friendly. They have wireless

I fly my Citabria into Downtown occasionally, and I have always enjoyed going to Ideal. It's very pleasant there and we're well treated by their friendly personnel. I always buy fuel, but with a small aircraft like mine, they don't make much on the deal. Nevertheless, they never stick us with phony ramp fees or anything like that. They always seem as happy to see us, as they would be a large Gulfstream. I highly recommend them.

From Joe Champagne on 05-Mar-2007
Unfortunately for everyone involved my experience with Ideal Aviation was not pleasant. My experience was by telephone attempting to reserve a car rental. Planning on spending the day with business associates in the St. Louis area, I inquired about parking fees. Ideal aviation wanted to hijack my wallet for a minimum of 100 gallons JetA in lieu of a parking fee... For a King Air 90. I understand making a living but 100 gallons? $423.00 purchase plus taxes for a 40 minute flight? That is a very unreasonable expectation so not only is my business gone but so is the parking fee, 100 gallon required fuel purchase and future business.

We arrived about 5:30 P.M. For an overnight stay. I asked that my plane be topped and put in their hangar overnight. After about 15 minutes after arrival, our taxi had not come, so one of the staff insisted on taking us to St. Louis. The next day, I phoned and the plane was pulled from the hangar and topped off, ready to go. Great experience.

Great way to access downtown St Louis. I stopped at Ideal about 8:30pm recently. Called in on the Unicom about 15 minutes before arriving and they had a cab waiting. Very friendly, courteous service. Highly recommended.

This place was great! We made two trips through here, one on the way out and then again on the return. Our first stop was really late at night and the guys working had cooked up some hot dogs in a steamer and shared them with my 4 passengers and me. We stopped on our return, this time for a quick turn and they were extremely fast and helpful in getting us in and out quickly. Their prices were reasonable, facilities nice and clean, and the staff was very pleasant. Thanks a lot!

Dropped in a couple of weeks ago, calling for a car early in the morning. A woman named Kathy took care of me. Clean, beautiful facility and outstanding customer service. Would recommend for pleasure and for business.

From David L Burt on 07-Aug-2006
Called from upper Michigan to inquire about rental car, hotels. Kathy booked a car, then spent some time finding a hotel and booking it. Called back several times with updates. Upon arrival, car was brought to plane, hotel info was provided and maps as well. Great, great service.

July 23, 2006. Ideal Aviation was an excellent choice for me in my business trip planning. My rental car pulled up at shut down, my bags were loaded in the trunk as I was tying up loose cockpit ends, the plane was chained before I got out all I had to do was tell them to top off, sign the rental car paper and off I go. The power was out all around the area so the gates were out of service but a lineman hopped in the car and guided me to an open gate. Service that absolutely exceeded my expectation. The only stop in St. Louis for me.

From Ron Calugar on 23-May-2006
We came in late out of Colorado Springs. Ideal was open and waiting with our rental car. This is a great airport from which to see St. Louis, the Gateway Arch, etc.

From K. Chrastka on 19-Mar-2006
I stopped in for a two day tiedown last week and was told that the first nite's tiedown is waved for fuel buy. I bought ten gals. When I was leaving they still charged me for two days tie down ($10). Turns out you need to say the magic words "Top Off" to get the deal. Other then that the service was fine.

From David Kalwishky on 07-Feb-2006
I was in again for an Angel Flight mission and while I did not need any fuel everyone was very friendly and helpful. Another good experience!

From Garry Casey on 02-Jan-2006
Called ahead to do a quick turn for fuel en route to Aspen from Charlotte. Fuel truck pulled up as I was shutting down. They had me ready to go before I had time to stretch my legs. Also had my catering ready at a very fair price. Overall experience was excellent. Fuel prices were best on field by far. Will definitely be back.
