I fly in to this FBO several times each year, mainly choosing them because of the edge they have on Jet A prices. I always phone them before departing to let them know I will need a cab upon arrival, and that I'll be calling on the Unicom 10 - 20 minutes prior to arrival. In all the years I've been coming here, they've only answered the radio once. Unfortunately, I usually have to wait for them to call a cab once I land. Other pilots on the field have told me they have had similar results. Today when I asked them about it again, Paul insisted this couldn't have happened. After some discussion, I asked him to check the Unicom. He found out it was on the wrong frequency. Paul agreed to ask the folks on the desk to check it occasionally. If time is important to you, I suggest asking them to test the Unicom when you phone them prior to departure. Seems to be a decent FBO other than this small issue.

Good Service, friendly staff even though they were really busy. It was game 7 of the series and there were tons of planes on the ramp. I also got the World Series discount on fuel. I'll use Ideal again.

Wow... What unbelievable service on a busy afternoon. Flew our C182 in for game 1 of the World Series. Despite extremely high traffic volume, including mostly biz-jets, we were treated like royalty. Time from wheels down to departing FBO in a cab was less than 10 minutes! Departure the next morning was equally efficient. Great fuel price too. Thanks.

I've had good experiences with Ideal, even had my annual done there this year when I flew from NJ for a 2 week job in St. Louis. The shop did a great job.

Not good I'm afraid - no lineman, no crewcar, staff not very helpful - couldn't even help us to get over to the cafe in the terminal building for lunch, had to get a taxi into downtown for something to eat! Won't return.

We used Ideal for our vacation trip, and our treatment there was top notch! Not the fanciest facility, but definitely the best on the field.

The staff at Ideal treated us very well. Gave us a $0.25 gal discount as we were going to see the Cardinals play, and a bag of Cards peanuts to enjoy! Called a cab (Rose's Cab - highly recommended!) for us with a ramp-side pick up.

My wife and I landed at St. Louis Downtown/KCPS in our Bonanza and used Ideal Aviation. Very GA friendly and very friendly in general. 5-10 minutes from the Arch/Downtown. We were there two nights and bought 37 gallons of gas and that was the only charge.

We arrived on a hot June day. No lineman to help us in, but Jen answered us on the radio and told us where to park. Facilities were clean and the rental car was right there waiting for us at the door. Next time we come to St. Louis we would be happy to give our business to Ideal.

I split hangar time with my Meridian here, and it's by far the most convenient location into downtown. Service is reliable, prompt, and responsive to your needs. Call FBO for a cab if you need it. Most of the local weather helicopters, military, and good year blimp traffic base here for St. Louis events.

I was on a cross-country trip from CRW to LRY. Headwinds had the sweet potato moving a lot slower than planned. I needed a bio break and stopped at Ideal (CPS). The 10 minutes I was there cost me $25.00 (ramp fee)! Get me once, but never again. I was about to ask for fuel, but that was enough.

I stopped at Ideal on April 2 and again on April 4, 2010 in a Cessna 210. Kathy normally works on the weekends and she does an outstanding job of providing customer service. This is a great stop and an excellent FBO. Plus, CPS is only a short drive to downtown St. Louis and you have a great view of downtown and the Arch when landing or departing.

I have been flying a C90B into CPS an average of 3 times a month for a year and a half and have used Ideal Aviation, which is perfectly named. Fuel prices are reasonable and the staff is friendly and courteous. Always makes me feel welcome. Never been disappointed. I highly recommend Ideal Aviation.

Easy to find, friendly service...They called me a cab to go downtown and they were there in about 10 minutes to pick me up...About a $15 fare to downtown St. Louis. Stayed for 3 nights, they got me some hangar space for my C182..Pleasant experience. Will be back.

My wife and I flew in on Friday, the 7 of Aug 09 and was pleased with the service we received. I spoke with Kathy (sp) on the Monday prior to set up my arrival on Friday and Kathy was wonderful. I asked to have my a/c hangared and they did so with no problems. When I called on Sunday morning for my departure, again Kathy was working and very helpful to us. The manager of Ideal should be very thankful to have her working there. I had them fuel the a/c, which they did as soon as I shut down. The folks are really nice, friendly, and professional there. The ATC system is simply outstanding.. I have not had any better interaction anywhere with the ATC system; they are just wonderful folks in the system. The taxi was fast, friendly, and clean. (The company that the FBO recommends. Sorry, I cannot remember how to spell it.. The red vehicles. I DO HIGHLY recommend Ideal Aviation and KCPS for anyone going to the downtown area. A great airport system

During the last two weeks in May, Ideal got "bombed" by over 100 aircraft from 30 university flight schools from all over the country. When I arrived to attend the final banquet, not only was a ramp space waiting for me in front of the building, but I didn't even have to put my plane in it. I parked in front of the door, and their capable line staff put my plane into a spot later and fueled it for me. Ideal Aviation showed a great amount of patience, support, and help, to all of the students, advisors, and coaches who attended the 2009 SAFECON event. They deserve a huge round of applause for their amazing efforts during a time in which they were swarmed ... Not only the company owners and reception employees, but the two line gentleman that choreographed a safe, efficient, and safe ramp environment, as well.

I go into St Louis Downtown airport frequently to visit family. The folks at Ideal are always helpful with securing my plane and fueling as I requested. Cathy at the front desk has been very good to work with. The fuel prices are the lowest on the field. I would always recommend Ideal when landing at CPS.

Second time here... These guys are great. Had to spend a few days and leave a few times to give rides. Just fantastic service. Line guy’s great...Front desk folks great. Set up rental car. Always-great service!

I called Ideal a couple days ahead and they arranged an Enterprise rental car for us. Thank goodness they are open 24 hours, because a delayed departure meant we didn't arrive until 10 p.M. I called Ideal from 20 miles out, and as I shut down on their ramp, the rental car was being backed right up to the plane! We had great help with our bags and fuel. With great service like this, you can be sure we'll be back at Ideal each time we return to St Louis!
