Great Airport!!! The people are friendly and the gas is inexpensive compared to the Atlanta area. Janet and Dwight will take care of you and your aircraft needs. I highly recommend this FBO. The courtesy car is ready when you are.

The runway lights and PAPI are working at Calhoun; I just used them last week. Have never seen them inop. Don't know why you had a problem. The field is one of the best maintained general aviation airports I've ever seen. Great fuel prices to boot!

Passing through the area on April 19th and diverted to KCZL due to deteriorated weather conditions, approached from the south and could not activate the runway lights. Over flying the field we were finally able to turn the lights on, however we had no VASI & decided to divert to KDNN instead. During our flight planning we did not discover any Notams issued for KCZL. We did attempt to contact the airport manager twice during the following day & wasn't available again (see previous post) I did notice the construction on the ramp, this may coincide with the inoperative equipment, the construction wasn't Notam'd also. Not sure about using KCZL in the future.
