GREAT AIRPORT!! They let us barrow the courtesy car overnight- no charge. Clean, quiet and very laid back environment.

Nice Quiet place, no charge for parking and the self-service fuel was inexpensive. Bathrooms were clean, and flight-planning resources were adequate. Only thing to keep in mind: The building is locked up when the operation is closed. I don’t know when they were scheduled to open on Sunday, but at 8:00 AM, the building was locked up. Fuel pumps were fine though.

Went up in search of a hangar and spoke with Bob. These guys are great! We shot the breeze talking about homebuilt and neat aircraft on the field. They have the best pilot's lounge I've been to at a small field. Great place to hang out and drink a Coke while judging landings.

Landed there on Friday, 9/21/07 for an overnight stay. Nice airport facility with very friendly staff. Fuel is self serve, but the airport will tow you over so you don't have to start the engines to move. Staff recommended the Jameson Inn, which was clean and comfortable. 10% airport discount is the same as corporate rate, though. Enterprise delivered the car on schedule. Pleasant small airport!

I am WAY overdue for these comments and for that I apologize. We had to stop because of some unexpected icing and ended up staying 2 days because of weather. This airport is FANTASTIC. They took care of our plane, gave us the use of a car for the entire time we were there, recommended the best restaurants and hotels, and pretty much made us feel at home without any concern about how the airplane was being handled. They even put it in an empty hangar so it wouldn't get covered with ice. All this with no charge. Guys, I'm sorry it has taken me so long, but I did try to contact the powers that be at Calhoun County to tell them what a great facility they have. Thanks for everything and if nothing else, I do talk you guys up everywhere I go- thanks!

Passed thru on a XC ferry flt in a Pitts. Great people that take care of you and good SS fuel prices. Before I was even out of the plane a gent from the FBO met me and helped fuel. Wx turned bad so I got stuck there over night. FBO let me hangar the plane for free and gave me the courtesy car for the night. Highly recommended.

I landed at 5:30p so I could watch my son's game vs. Calhoun HS. Fuel was reasonable (SS) Bob rode over on a bike to make sure the pump worked. They gave me the courtesy car and directions to the HS. I returned back about 9pm. Although the airport was closed Bob waited up for me. Well lit field with smooth, long runway and a LOC approach if required. No fees. As nice a bunch of people as you will find. Thanks to Bob at all the folks at David Field.
