We got there after closing one night and just walked over to the hotel (Comfort Inn is only a couple of blocks away). The next morning they took care of us and said they'd have come and retrieved us if we called.

Mike and his crew (including Lucy) were very helpful and considerate. Mike gave us his cell # in case we "got in trouble" but no worries, wasn't needed! Easy in and out, free crew car for overnight stay in town. Small town with plenty of restaurants and places to get a room for the night.

Fantastic experience. I flew our Columbia 350 in on 5/7/2011 to take my 9 year-old daughter to the VA State Gymnastics meet being held in Danville. Mike and the line crew were extremely friendly and accommodating. The rental car was waiting as promised and, before we left the premises, Mike personally delivered us to the car and made sure we knew how to use the after-hours access gate so we could get back to the plane when the meet was over. Easy approaches, nice large ramp, and wide range of pilot supplies available. This will be my new preferred stop when passing through.

Great airport. Had to take someone down for business and found them very accommodating. No obstructions, lots of approaches. Why are they paying someone to sit in the "tower" 12 hours a day to give advisories. I thought it was New Jersey with a county government make-work job. At the FBO ask for Lucy when you visit. She is the official greater.

Called ahead and talked with Mike and he had a spot waiting for us with electricity. It was so cold we needed to keep the engine heated. When we left at 9:00pm, Mike showed up just in case we needed some help. What great service! Thanks to all at DAN for a great experience.

This is one of my favorite FBOs. Mike goes out of his way to be helpful, and the line guys are friendly and helpful as well. It's a clean, well-run, fairly priced operation.

Very friendly and clean FBO. Mike was very helpful regarding maps, places to go, and even gave me additional literature about the area and the bike trails. There's a gentleman in the UNICOM "tower" who is very helpful as well. KDAN is a well-maintained airport in great condition.

Great FBO. They answered on the UNICOM frequency when called, good fuel prices - they even cleaned my windshield without my asking! Several types of oil for purchase in the lobby, along with a few other pilot supplies.

Excellent example of what an FBO can (and should) be - great facilities, friendly staff, crew car, etc. Highly recommended.

Continued exceptional service. Called on the UNICOM 10 min out and told them I needed a hangar. They met me on the taxiway and guided me right to the hangar door. These guys are awesome!

EXCEPTIONAL! I landed in my Mooney at the same time there was a race in town so the ramp was wing-tip to wing-tip with jets. I was greeted on the taxiway by a golf-cart to bring me to the hangar and was contacted by THEM on the UNICOM. Before I got out of the plane they had hooked up the tug and seconds later the plane was in the hangar at a $15 per night charge! What a great FBO. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

The FBO at Danville, "General Aviation Inc.", is being run very well indeed. We arrived here on a windy afternoon with two sick kids in the back of the plane -- in fact they had just both tossed their cookies, unfortunately. When I asked the lineman where I could find a trash bag and some paper towels, he said "I'll get them" -- and showed up very shortly with that plus a complimentary vial of odor-eater / air freshener spray. We were able to get things cleaned up and on our way very shortly. They tied the airplane down for us, topped it off, and brought it back out the next morning, plus were very helpful opening the gate so we could get our vehicle in and out to the airplane. The facility is also very nice, and the fuel price was good. All in all, I couldn't have been happier with the experience and the assistance we received.
