These guys have really lost their touch. I have been flying into DAY and Stevens for a number of years, always with great service. However, on my last trip there last week, the lineman met me in my Cirrus, chocked it and then disappeared. When I asked, they got me a luggage cart and then two lineman talked with each other 10 feet away and watched while I unloaded a plane load of boxes onto the cart and then struggled to put my Tanis engine blanket on in a 30 kt wind. When I asked if I could plug in my engine heater (I offered to pay for it), they refused, saying that it would blow their circuit breakers. No help carrying all that stuff to the car either. Fairly expensive fuel too. I'll find another FBO in the Dayton area that knows what good service is. You can get cookies anywhere.

We landed in my V-tail during very poor weather. The front desk got me a rental car and made hotel reservation for us within 10 minutes. Next morning we had the plane fueled and ready to go by the time we arrived at the airport. My family and I loved the friendly and efficient service. The FBO interior is brand new, but all facilities are available. Loved the "new smell".

Arrived, gave a fuel order and ordered a GPU for start and air-conditioning later in day. Called 30 minutes before departure to confirm GPU available and KingAir fueled. Arrived with passengers, no GPU in sight, waited 20 plus minutes, helped push GPU out of hangar and it didn't work. GAVE UP and left. As a Beechcraft facility I would rate it a C+ at best. It was very hot (90degrees and humid), maybe everyone was just under the weather. This is the second time in 6 months I have been into Stevens and I don't think the desk cares; it’s just a job. They are supposed to do a great job on KingAir work. I am glad I did not do my Blackhawk conversion with them by the way I perceive the operation. I may have just gotten a fluke situation but I'll try someone else next time.

We were in for a quick turn and we were in and out in less than 20 minutes. Nice Job. Good cookies.
