Inexpensive fuel. No tie down fees. (Bring your own ropes/ratchet straps). VERY nice and helpful staff. Didn't charge me for bringing my plane in the hangar to preheat it when it got cold. With a phone call they offered to move it into the hangar if weather turned nasty. Great people that worked to make me want to return!

It was a very satisfying experience to park my aircraft at the Dekalb airport this past weekend. The fuel prices were reasonable, the facility was clean and up to date and staff was very friendly. I had concerns for afternoon-evening thunderstorms and Tom Cleveland (Airport Manager) was extremely busy with an aircraft flyin, at the same time Tom found a "T" hangar for my aircraft. Also, Tom and his staff helped me get the plane into the "T" hangar and the hangar fee was extremely reasonable. I would recommend this airport to anyone traveling close to the Chicago area if you want to either have a place to park your aircraft for a Chicago visit or it's a great fuel stop if your enroute, 5.15 for fuel versus the 6.00 I pay in the Ohio area.
