Overnight stop. Good fuel price, courtesy van is provided by airport, no tie down fee, puts plane in hangar [free]. Bert gives free rides to local school kids, feeds all military aviation folks for free! Bert is a true ambassador for aviation!

I needed to charge an aux battery on my aircraft. The airport manager Tony lent me the tools to remove my cowling and rolled out the multi-voltage charger for me. He offered me the courtesy car while I waited for the battery to charge, but I just hung around and read some e-mails using their Wi-Fi hot spot. Great stop.

Whether for a quick fuel turn or to stop for the night, Deming can't be beat. I ferry numerous light aircraft along the southern tier states and Deming is a favorite stop. Good folks.

From Nelson Minar on 07-May-2011

Very quick fuel service. No frills FBO but they're friendly and had a van available for a quick drive in to town for lunch. Deming is a handy fuel stop with two long runways.

Stopped for fuel and a visit with old friends on the way to Utah. The Hampton, a new hotel, is very nice. Butttttt no Taxi in town. Service and facilities are convenient to the ramp. Transportation in the city is the problem.

Great FBO! Bob and Tony were very very helpful! I had to set down due to a failed turbo charger. They were very accommodating letting us borrow a van for our two night stay. Thankfully Bob and Tony seemed to have every tool know to man and made I very easy to repair my plane. Without their help my plane would still be there. Great guys, great FBO, nice small town! I highly recommend them!

Stopped in Deming in the J3 Cub and got fuel, oil and spent the night at the Grand Inn. This is a great airport in a nice little town. The hotel picked me up and dropped me off for free and the room was nice, quiet and very reasonable, (less than $49 for the night). They even ran a handheld out to me I left in the room and caught me before I took off. Hope to return again.

I flew in from KSSF after an early start and was pleased to be greeted by very friendly staff at KDMN. They refueled my Diamond, and allowed me to feast on complimentary deli sandwiches in their fridge. I closed my eyes for a bit in the comfortable pilot lounge, checked weather and went on. The good service was consistent as I stopped by again on my way back from California.

Great service and 100LL at $4.60. Stopped here twice this week with our Turbo Arrow on our way from San Diego to Dallas, TX and back. Due to PM thunderstorms we spent both nights at the Grand Hotel for $42 per night. Simple, but a clean room, great food, free airport shuttle and a nice, relaxed atmosphere. Everyone in town is so friendly. Highly recommended for a fuel and/or over night stop.

Arrived July 13 after hrs and was met by Tony for refuel. We were provided excellent service. Make sure you calculate density altitude around New Mexico.

We stopped at Demming a couple of days ago on the way home from Texas to California. I can only echo all the positive comments below. Great service, a loaner crew car to go get lunch, and great fuel prices with a cash discount on top of that. What more could you ask for? Deming is my mid-point fuel stop from now on.

From Travis Kenyon on 15-Feb-2010

Spent a nice long weekend exploring the sights north of Deming. They had a rental car set up for us, no parking fees, and a really nice clean facility. Great service and we will stop in again when in southwest NM.

Stopped at Deming as a precaution for high oil temp and to top off the tanks enroute to Texas. Speedy service as the fuel truck was already pulling up to the plane as we were climbing out. 3 British helo's were right behind us going from El Centro, CA to Houston, TX and the 2 man show was able to fuel us up and park the helo's at the same time. We didn't leave the airport but because the helo guys bought so much gas, they were offering them up some complimentary mexican food. Just thought that was pretty awesome. Great service guys. Stop in if you have the chance.

Great overnight stop on a cross-country ferry flight. Crew car was truly an American classic, but we were happy to have it. We stayed at the Grand Hotel and ate at the Meridor and had a very nice time. Thank you Deming!

Stopped in for fuel in our Bonanza on the way to the Reno Air Races from Texas. Very quick and friendly service with a good fuel price. We'll definitely stop here again.

Came back here again after two months to base out of as I was exploring this region of New Mexico... You just can't beat Deming and this FBO. Oh, I spent 3 nights at the Grand Motel. $40 per night. I had 2 rooms because I left on an adventure and came back. This was my 5th stay at the Grand in 4 years. I've always had a super clean room, peaceful sleep on a comfortable bed. And, WOW, that restaurant staff. (I told the manager the guy who made my meals was part cook - part magician. Meals are prepared quickly, they were delightful and priced right. The locals eat here and for good reason. Sit at Marci's table and you'll get blazing fast and good service. AND THE BONUS... The Grand Motel will pick you up at the airport! John was super at running me back in the morning and picking me up in the after for 3 days...

On a coast-to-coast ferry in a Cessna 206 I stopped at Desert Aviation in Deming for fuel. When I arrived at Tucson my next stop I found out that Desert Aviation called US Customs asking them to inspect my C206. I am at a loss as to why!

Response from Bob Benavidez, Desert Aviation
We do stay vigilant for illegal activity coming through our airport here in Deming but did NOT report your aircraft to U S Customs. There was a U S Customs pilot on the ground that made that report.

Deming is a great stop. The FBO treats you with respect, there are good and reasonable hotels nearby that will pick you up and won't rob your wallet and you'll find all sorts of good places to eat. I've landed here several times and have yet failed to meet a sourpuss at the airport or in town. This place is a Retro adventure and nostalgia at it's best. You'll like Deming! 5 Stars!
