  We landed here, fueled, coffee'd, chatted with the lineman, later the manager, and the legendary Ruby who runs the front desk. They could not have been nicer had we been a Gulfstream..

  Today I had better luck than the previous commenter. I called ahead to see about rent cars. A very nice lady took my information, including a/c tail number and ETA, booked me a rental car and sent me the confirmation. I thought she was very hospitable and welcoming...

  Poor service provided to light aircraft. While taxiing in, spotted fuel island but didn't see parking. Had been a long day of flying to get to KDRT, 7.2 hours, spending the night in town. 34C and strong gusty winds on an early April 2021 Tuesday. Called Pico about parking, and was given polite instructions that spots were available on the other end of the airport. Arrived there half-hour before FBO closed, went in to get some info, but was empty, only instructions for very restrictive use of crew car (2-hr max). One or two guys was in-n-out of the ramp there several times on golf cart or fuel truck, completely ignoring me as I put the plane to bed, got out all my luggage, and struggled to put the plane's cover on by myself in the blasting wind and heat. Once finally done, they had locked me out of the FBO. Had to grapple with all my stuff through the turnstile gate. Next morning, all Pico employees continued to ignore me. So weird, and SO atypical of the flying community.
