Stopped for Gas in my E-55 Baron enroute from FL to WI. These guys took the self out of self serve and helped fill my plane while the girls headed for the immaculate facilities. I had called ahead in the morning to verify details and they were waiting for me. Building is a new attractive structure and very well kept. They offered crew car, fresh coffee, bottled water, etc. Headwinds on the way to WI dictated I pass on that but good to know for the future. Sounds like some good golf courses in the area for a spring trip south. Hope they are paying the guy working the place well and should give a raise! Gas price was reasonable as well and it is self serve when the staff goes home. I will stop there again and so should you if you want a good stop with great service and reasonable gas in the middle of the trip!

Like most others who gave this place great reviews, I had an excellent experience as well. I made a fuel stop at 4pm on a Sunday and as I called the CTAF, Nathan (owner's son) radioed me and asked if I needed fuel and where to park. As I taxied in, he was there to guide me to the fuel, and went ahead and fueled my plane for me (it was supposed to be SS) and brought the receipt inside for me as I was filing my next flight plan. Great Service...Will stop in again!!!! Well done Nathan!

You have got to stop at Danville KY, KDVK, for incredible service. The father and son team that took care of us on Nov. 18, 2011 were unbelievably helpful. Fueled our plane for us at the self serve and then offered coffee. We returned the next day, Saturday, and the gentleman in charge took care of us in the same courteous and appreciative way. Fuel prices are the best in area......

I stopped in to pick a passenger for a local flight. Because of areas of fog around the area I wanted to check Metars for the local airports I would be around. The monitor on the weather computer was inop. I was surprised that the attendant flatly stated I could not check weather on any other computer and he would not pull it up, even though he was sitting there surfing the web. So much for customer service, but more importantly an attitude detrimental to safe flight and aircraft handling.

Flew into Danville in a Mooney on 9/30/11 for a 2-hour stop. I was helped to parking at the fuel pumps. After I was handed the keys to the crew car just after getting out of the airplane, and the (self-serve) fueling was done for me while I left for my meeting. The airplane was re-positioned and chocked while I was gone, something you might expect at a much larger facility. Very friendly people, unbelievable fuel price, great new facility. I've flown over many times without stopping, but won't make that mistake in the future. Thanks...

WOW! Surprised to find such great fuel prices and such great service. Fuel stop on our way from Florida to Indiana. Very attentive and helpful AP manager and his son. We took the crew car and grabbed some lunch while they topped our fuel off. Thanks!

WOW!! That’s the best descriptor I can come up with for this gem. We landed around 1530 on a Sat aftn. Great self serve that operated in a flawless and efficient manner. AP Mgr was out quick to assist. There is a brand new terminal, and looks like no expense were spared. They even have a little 2nd floor observation tower. The immense quantity 'infield' grass betw the taxiways and runways looks more like it was stolen from a private country club. The ramp is quite large. Lotsa transient space. Courtesy car readily avail. Good choices for vittles in town. Airport named after Stuart Powell, whom I was fortunate enough to meet and chat with.

Wow! We called ahead to borrow the car for a quick business call. Ordered fuel, borrowed car, returned to fueled aircraft, bill waiting. What a wonderful group of folks. And you couldn't ask for a better airport dog, the best greeter possible!

The original owner was rehired to run the FBO for the county. Great fellow and really tries hard. Nice atmosphere in the new FBO building with all the amenities. Convenient fuel service location. We had the use of the courtesy car for free to get to town for lunch.

This is a great stop. Friendly, helpful, crew car (nice!) and directions. All airports should be this good on service. This one also wins a beauty contest for location and facilities. If I come through here again, Danville is my number 1 choice.

Flew in with our C-208 Caravan for good fuel prices along our route to Texas. Beautiful airport and facilities with a nice courtesy car to the Crackle Barrel for a wonderful lunch. Nice Christian atmosphere too. Hope we stop here again soon.

Got WX diversion here on flight from AVL to UGN, I can't say I've ever had better service and a friendlier atmosphere. Rain was coming fast, and we were called on radio and offered to fuel up, before it hit. Before the rain fell we were in the hangar, N/C! They kindly lent us a crew car, directions to a fantastic small town diner, and offered water on departure. Good fuel prices, too. I'll be looking to route through here next time.

We landed late at night enroute from Penn to Texas and stayed at the fabulous Hampton Inn. It looked like we were going to be unable to fly the next day because of a squall line with forecasts of hail. I called the FBO early in the am to ask if they could hangar my plane. JW sent his son Nathan to the hotel to pick up the keys! After researching the wx, we were able to plan a route around the wx and decided to move on. JW sent Nathan back to retrieve us from the hotel! It was raining now, and they retrieved my plane from the corporate hangar, filled the tanks at the self service for me, pulled the plane close to the FBO to avoid my getting wet, handed me an umbrella for my pre-flight, and gave us bottles of water for the flight! We felt like royalty! Wow! I honestly do not think that I could find kinder people. To top it off, JW did not charge us for the hangar rental since we didn't stay the night. I could go on and on, but you get the picture. Thanks JW & Nate!

Highly recommended. We stopped in here to wait on a front to pass by on our trip from Gatlingburg to Indianapolis. They were very friendly and helpful. We ended up having to spend the night due to weather. They let us use the crew car over night to get to and from the hotel. That is what I call service! I will definitely stop in again if I am down that way. Thanks again for your help and hospitality.

Very friendly operation. JW now has the FBO, waiting for county to finish the new building. Would have come out after hours to put my Cub in a hangar if I'd wanted. Local airport bum Craig gave me rides to and from the hotel. Thanks guys - great stop.

You will get treated like family here, great group of VOLUNTEERS and employees that go out of their way to make sure you and your aircraft are serviced. There is self-serve available all day and night though someone will always fuel you during the daytime. Small town airport that has better service than many big jet town airports, give them a try!

STOP HERE; hospitality's home here. Gayden welcomed us to Danville, arranged a courtesy car with Stuart Powell of Powell Ford delivering the car himself; the airport is named Stuart Powell field. Gayden's business card got us a $59.00/night rate at the local Holiday Inn; +$6 tax... Took a nap in some nice comfy recliners awaiting better VFR conditions

I called in at Danville for fuel on 3rd March 2009 whilst ferrying my son's newly purchased Piper Challenger from Indiana County Airport in Pennsylvania to Ozark Regional In Arkansas. I received a very warm welcome and whilst Gayden was fueling the aircraft I was offered complimentary refreshments and the use of all facilities. As by then it was late afternoon I decided to stay overnight. The FBO staff booked me a room at the local Holiday Inn (Pilot Rate of $71.66 inc taxes and breakfast) and lent me their excellent courtesy car for the overnight stay. I would certainly welcome the opportunity to re visit the airport, and offer JW and Gayden my thanks for the great service provided. As a rider, JW Lynn the Airport's Director of Operations offers FREE airplane rides under the WINGS OF REFUGE program which he runs with a view to demonstrating to the passengers the beauty of Gods Creation from the air.... Great work JW.
