Doylestown is a quaint town and well worth visiting however the airport service leaves something to be desired. There was not a single aircraft moving, in the pattern or on the ground, yet no one came out of the FBO to direct us to transient parking. A query on CTAF was met with "park anywhere you want". Okay, I never had an FBO react this way, but I am flexible. Surprisingly, there were no obvious marked spots and the ramp was full. We found an empty spot, clear of the taxi area, but uncomfortably close to other aircraft. While there were no tie-down ropes (or in-ground cleats) there were plenty of chocks, we just had to make sure we did not hit any while taxiing on the ramp. NOTE: The listed clearance delivery 118.55 does not reach Philly Approach on the ground: use 800-462-1639

Go to Doylestown quite often. Have had some plane issue's and somehow they are alway's able to get right on them quickly and help me out for a reasonable price. You need fuel, no problem, they get right on that too. Can be quite busy on the weekend's with nice weather but that is a good thing. The more people flying the better.
