Landed at EET on my way to Charlotte, NC. Unicom called me and asked if I wanted self serve and I had decided on full serve (only .40 cents more) besides there was a steady drizzle. Very nice and clean facility that I would stop at again if I were in the area. Thanks for the great service.

Another great General Aviation experience. Made KEET my fuel stop from KLOU, to New Orleans. Best fuel prices in area. On way back had to hold over due to weather. Barry at the FBO gave my Wife and I a ride to Birmingham. Nothing like the hospitality of the South!

Traveling around the east coast, met a colleague for business, and had meeting in their conference room! Friendly and helpful. Airport difficult to "see" if it your first time, and lots of activity. Again, very helpful folks at this FBO.

Unplanned stops give you a chance to find the true nature of people. Minding my own business IFR at 10,000', I had an engine problem that caused my diversion to Shelby County. BHM approach was extremely helpful, even alerting the FBO of my pending arrival. Coasting to a stop, I was met by Gary (FBO) and Mike (Champion Flyers maintenance, and my new best friend). A quick reveal under the cowl found the fuel line broken that allowed us to meet. Mike and Chuck (WDE) of CF worked with my A&P Larry Owen of L&M Aviation (KRMG) to finalize a plan, order the parts, and Gary arranged a crew car for my overnight needs. Part arrived via FEDEX, final fabrication and installation complete, and operational checks verified. Throughout the entire process, I was extremely comfortable with the entire set of events. I was made to feel as one of the local family versus being taken advantage of as might have occurred. Thanks to KEET, Champion Flyers, and L&M Aviation - your teamwork was world class.

Great little airport, and great fuel price ($4.66). They asked what they could do for us as we were taxiing in, to include offering the courtesy car for a lunch run. We'll definitely be back.

First time at EET. SS pump worked as advertised and very good fuel price. Used crew car for lunch a few miles north on the frwy. Definitely use this airport again when in the neighborhood. Couldn't raise BHM ATC on the ground on the published freq. or on Approach Control freq.

Great stop for after hours fueling. Modern 24 hour self-serve 100LL. Easy in and out at a very competitive price.

Nice place. I had a rental car scheduled to be delivered to the airport. Luckily for me, the guy was late. The airport let me use the courtesy car to drive to the FSDO to apply for my repairman's certificate.

On the evening of April 4 I landed at Shelby County in a Cessna 182 just before a nasty line of thunderstorms was approaching the area. We arrived just before the FBO closed and met Barry Harmon. I must admit I had a little "get there-itis" and Barry convinced us to wait the storms out. He helped us secure the plane in a covered area. It took almost 4 hours for the weather to clear but we eventually made it safely to Arkansas later that night. While we were waiting the storms out Barry would check in on us. He even brought us a hot pizza. I can't say thank you enough for this representative of Shelby County for going above and beyond. Great fuel prices but more importantly employees who really care and go out of their way to make our stop over pleasant and our trip a safe one. Thank you Barry!

What a great airport and a great staff. I used this facility on the way down to Florida and on the way back. On both occasions they bent over to help and let us use the crew car. Fuel is the best price in the area and the facilities are first class.

What a great airport. Cheap gas, nice facility, great service. Close to Birmingham on I-65- save big $$ by landing and fueling here for business in BHam. Staff very helpful, big facility, spotless.

This is a great airport with friendly people and a first class FBO. The facilities are relatively new and rival what you'd find in many much bigger airport. The people there were great and bent over backwards to help. If you need to go anywhere in the Birmingham area, this is the place to go.
