I used this airport for the first time because it was close to the relatives we were visiting. Tower was helpful on the approach, and aiding with the visual sighting in the haze. Ramp personnel didn't meet us but were helpful when I tracked them down and allowed us to drive the car to the aircraft to unload and load bags and passengers. Fuel prices were reasonable by my standards based on other places I fly and I chose to use the truck to fuel ($0.20/gal more as I recall) so I wouldn't have to start up taxi to the pumps and restart. Ramp area has nice parking for twins with tie downs in good order.

Can't figure out why this County contracted Management Company is still gouging us on fuel at EMT. Fuel has plummeted at all the surrounding airports and it's not unusual to see fuel back in the $3.00+ range. Why are we still paying over $5.00/gallon? I just paid $4.11 at a first class FBO at KFAT. Even North Las Vegas is $3.97. This is price gouging and I will no longer buy fuel here until they bring their prices down to market rate.

They have 2 pumps north side and south side. I have had problems on the north side for over a year. When starting to pump fuel I only get less than a dollar and it stops. The last time I was there I found the problem. The hose is too short for a twin so when you pull out the hose be sure you don't pull it all the way out because the hose will kink and the fuel can't flow. If you look inside where the hose comes out of the cabinet you can see the kink if it's too far out so leave about 6 or 12 inches and it works fine.

Lightning Aircraft seems to have the best flight school on the airport. The current instructors there were really helpful at getting my currency back. Too many cats running around at FAST, like the previous comment, and Universal just gave me too many questions about that operation.
