Just wanted to comment on the great service at North Coast last July on my way to Oshkosh from MA. I had to wait out a thunderstorm, and also get some minor repair work done. The repair service from Pat was prompt and diligent. I wish my plane were based here!

This time used a courtesy car and visited Presque Isle, grabbed lunch -- North Coast Air is one of the top FBOs I've visited. Fuel is expensive, but if you use the services the price difference pays for itself.

This was my second trip here. Mine was the only airplane on the ramp, and the service was super-fast. The deli across the street is very convenient.

Flew into KERI on a Saturday evening with my wife in our 172 for a quick pit stop. Was rather disappointed when I taxied into North Coast Air. The ramp was hectic and no lineman was out to guide me to where to park and I received nothing after several tries through radio (122.95). After parking my aircraft I was still ignored and couldn't find a pair of chocks. After using the restroom and checking the forecast we were ready to go. However we were LOCKED IN. There was no receptionist or any employee for that matter to let us out onto the ramp. After roughly 20 minutes, (and I do not exaggerate), the lineman on the ramp finally came over to let us out. I acknowledge the fact he had his hands quite full that evening; However it's disappointing that some FBO's cannot provide SIMPLE service to their customers. VERY disappointing considering the increasing costs of fuel, fees, and services at FBO's. It was a good thing we were OK on fuel that evening!

Response from Joe Ceresa, Line Service Manager, North Coast Air (814) 836-9220
We are not ones to make excuses. We have been quite slow on Saturday evenings. Our lineman on duty was called over to the main terminal to fuel an airline diversion. We apologize for your inconvenience. Every customer is important to us. If you could please contact us, we want to in some way make it up to you and your family.

Stopped in on a Friday evening back in July, line service was out to park my aircraft and was very polite and courteous. Nice small, comforting facility as well. Also no additional fees for single piston aircraft.

Top-notch service and facilities. Highly recommended if you're planning on flying to Erie. The hotel/restaurant strip is a bit of a hike (about 15 min drive to Peach Street) but worth it -- every chain hotel (Marriot, Hilton, etc) and eatery can be found there. If you have time head to Presque Isle or the Bayfront -- well worth the time.

Very comfortable FBO with an AMAZING pilot's lounge with a widescreen TV. Landed for fuel and had to stay overnight cause of some storms that would have passed through. Other than fuel charges, no additional costs and very friendly staff. Free Wifi - perfect for passing away long hour delays.

Flew in on a Cessna 210, very friendly staff, quick service and a courteous lineman washed my windshield without me asking. Thanks Mike. Will definitely be back.

I have been using North Coast for the past several years to see my son at a local college. Several weeks ago I landed with a flat nose wheel in my 182, which shut down the runway while North Coast maintenance, towed my plane off the runway and made speedy repairs. I cannot say enough about everyone from the Fire Department to the maintenance staff how nice and friendly everyone is there. (No injuries!)...Thanks KERI!

Stopped here for fuel. A deli/convenience store is right across from the FBO, and I was told there is a restaurant in the main airport terminal, which is also right next to the FBO. Staff appeared to be very friendly. I did not need a courtesy car or hotel, so I can't say much beyond that.

10Sep06 - Adequate service. Got quick turn.

Helpful competent people. 6-month-expired Diet Pepsi in the vending machine. Small passenger lounge and weather briefing counter. Perhaps not the best place for an overnight because the hotels and downtown Erie aren't right at the airport, though it kind of looks that way on the Sectional. We stayed at the somewhat dingy Comfort Inn, which came around in a shuttle van.

Melanie set up our cars and hotels, and everything went well upon arrival. Wireless, nice quite lounge and TV, restaurant across the street. We were treated very well...

Friendly people, but we had a few problems. I called earlier in the day and left a reservation. When my family came to pick us up, they were told that no planes were coming that evening. We left the plane overnight with instructions to top it off. Next evening, they hadn't filled it up, though they did it quickly once we showed up.

From Greg Barnhard on 21-Apr-2006
Good service, however prices were not updated. Went in thinking I'd get 100LL for $3.92/gallon. I'm sure my face showed my surprise when I saw $4.52/gallon on the wall. Overall, a good stop, will stop in again.

From Jeffrey Kyff on 12-Mar-2006
Brief stop to empty our bladders and fill the airplanes bladders. Good prompt service. I would go back.

From Ken Savage on 18-Feb-2006
Closes at 11 PM. $85 / hour additional charge if you want fuel later than that or need to use the restroom.
