Haven't been to a nicer or more reasonably priced FBO than Airgate. Friendly line folks, good sized maintenance operation, transient hangar space. Hangared for a very decent price. Coupled with its close proximity to one of Florida's best-kept secrets, the dual town of New Smyrna Beach, KEVB makes a great stop in Central Florida. The town has two centers, one on the ocean and one on the river, both clean, safe and walkable. There is an inlet from the ocean so fresh seafood is abundant. This is also one of the oldest towns in Florida and boasts restored old neighborhoods, mostly original (non-chain) restaurants, numerous galleries featuring well-respected local artists and frequent fests to show it all off. The Space Center is just a few miles south, and this is a great base from which to see it.

I flew my new Cub into Airgate for a pre-buy and for flight training. I could not have been happier with the amazing treatment I got. They took care of the airplane and me like I was a good friend. Bubba was extremely friendly and helpful as well as Michelle.

We flew into KEVB yesterday and enjoyed courteous pleasant service from the staff at Airgate, especially Bubba who is a wealth of information and a delightful "ambassador" for both the FBO and the airport in general. Also, there is now a restaurant at the FBO, open for breakfast and lunch. The Airgate Cafe serves the absolute best breakfast of any airport cafe we've been to. Excellent service as well. I'd highly recommend this FBO to any pilot.

These folks go the extra mile. Friendly desk and line staff got my hotel and rental car together and had the plane preheating and ready for me when it was time to go. Many thanks!

Thank you Michelle, Senetra and Bubba for your warm welcome and professional service this past weekend. My only regret is that I could not tanker more of your low-price avgas. I look forward to a return trip to New Smyrna Beach and Airgate Aviation in the future.

What a first rate outfit! I didn't intend to go to Airgate, but the city self service pump was not working. Don, from Airgate was at the pump and offered to provide fuel at the city self serve price. That is what I call going the extra mile. I didn't even have to move my Carbon Cub.

AWESOME.... Bubba and Airgate put AWE in AWESOME!! We had to WX diverted into EVB; were met by Bubba while I was refueling in the COLD and he towed my plane and tied it down.... Then Jennifer went to work helping me get my rental car changed with the Enterprise folks in New Smyrna, who were superb also---one reason I like the Enterprise team! If u r headed into south FL or headed north out, go out of ur way to visit these folks! Well worth it!

We were parked and greeted with attention to our needs and a smile. The entire staff was awesome and in particular the line supervisor (Bubba) personally made certain we were able to safely depart on time despite the need for an assisted start. Thank you for all your help and hospitality.

After Epic was going to charge us nearly $15/night to park, we spoke with Michelle at Airgate. Gas was the same price, but they gave us a much better deal on parking for four nights. Frank, the owner, came out and welcomed us. Bubba was helpful the next morning, as was Jenny. GREAT FOLKS and GREAT SERVICE! They make it an FBO that seems glad you're there. And that's just where we'll be next time we visit EVB. Thanks!

9-17-12: My wife and fly into EVB about once a month, and we were delighted to learn there is another FBO on the field. This new FBO, which also runs a charter operation to the Bahamas, is owned and operated by Airgate President Frank Norman, who is a long time presence at EVB and who has hired an experience and well-trained staff (Bubba, line supervisor, Michelle and Mary, behind the desk). Recently, we were given VIP treatment at Airgate, compared to typically being ignored at EPIC, which seems to prefer flight training over FBO services.
