I have a private strip just NE of FLP and regularly fly in to Flippin for fuel. Due to the lack of availability of asphalt, completion of the taxi/parking upgrade (now in progress) is expected to be delayed until at least well up into early Spring. We are due to get self-service fueling as a part of this upgrade, so fuel will then be available 24/7. The area pilots have a gathering at the FBO each Tuesday morning beginning around 9AM where we visit and tell lies ;-). You are invited to drop in.

I stopped in for a quick turn while out running an incoming cold front. I was met at the pump and serviced filled up quickly. The airport crew was very friendly as were the other aircraft in the pattern that offered to wait for me to land and extend their downwind leg when I was ready to takeoff. The taxiway in front of the FBO and part of the ramp are being repaired, so be careful. Access to the 100LL pump is somewhat tight but certainly doable. I'm sure they will get it finished in a couple weeks. It is a nice friendly place to stop with reasonable fuel price. I charged my iPad and used their wireless Internet for wx and to file a flight plan. I'll go back.

Nice small town airport. I stopped in for fuel after lunch at Gaston's and was treated well. Fuel is delivered via pump (not self service) and the terminal building is older but very adequate.
