Major changes at Key Air FBO. The prices advertised in references to fuel is accurate and correct! Do not let the old Handling fees make it a fly-by; they are no longer in effect. As of today 100LL for the Cessna 210 I flew in on was exactly as advertised $2.93/gal. Feel free to contact them personally to verify price and be assured that the Handling fee is gone. Very friendly staff and I believe they want our business and are determined to prove it. I hope they stick with the very competitive fuel price and make sure that the past handling fee stays just that "in the past" They have a lot of damage control to over come due to that but give them another chance. You will be happy you did! I did!

Great Service and price. The self-service did not work and they refueled from truck at same price of self-service. FBO lounge very nice. PC station to check weather available. Clean restroom. Very nice!

From Frank Browning on 29-Jan-2009
Key Air is a gyp joint! They add a $50 "handling fee" for a single engine recip to pump gas at 2.44 which brings the fuel cost to more the $3.00 per gallon They should not be listed on AirNav!

From Terry Marshall on 05-Jan-2009
The savings @ Key Air make it worth a 2-minute phone call. Just returned from the Bahamas to the Midwest. I saved almost $300, including the handling fee, over the cost of fuel at my home airport. The service was fantastic. They were waiting for me @ customs when I arrived. My only suggestion for Key Air is to publish the handling fees

From Antonio Molero on 03-Jan-2009
Yesterday I loaded my plane with fuel at Key Air and they charged $2.99/gal and with my AirBoss card they charged $2.94/gal for FS.

From Bob Echols on 30-Dec-2008
This type of Shenanigans does not work. We cannot all be calling airports all over the county to calculate the true price. AirNav should kick Key Air off the website until they mend their ways.

From John Mason on 27-Dec-2008
Such is the value of calling ahead. I just called Key Air and they advised that there is a $200 handling fee -Citation- bringing the price on 300 gallons Jet A to $3.05 per gallon not $2.25 as advertised on AirNav. That the first time I have had that happen with an AirNav site, I.E. Undisclosed handling fee.

From Don Saunders on 25-Dec-2008
The price is Great you would have to be uneducated to understand there price. I loved the price the service and there honesty. I filled up with 90 gals and saved almost 100.00 over the other guys on the field. I will post on MMOPA and JET PROP sites how good they are. If you fly a REAL airplane go to KEY AIR.

From Steve Edwards on 24-Dec-2008
Maybe this FBO isn't for you if you fly a small piston airplane, but for guys like me who are fortunate enough to fly a Turbine this place absolutely rocks! I stopped two times going to the Turks and back and could not believe their 1st rate service and gas prices. With my "handling fee" I paid a whopping $2.40 per gallon!! Of course I took 300 gallons each time. The math probably doesn't work if you're taking 30 gallons but even then, the price would be much lower than anyone in the area (or nation for that matter). These guys met me over at customs and were ready willing and able to fill me up! I really don't see where the previous complaints make any sense. I would HIGHLY recommend this FBO! Thanks guys (and gals!)

From Chris Roddy on 22-Dec-2008
I will avoid this FBO thanks to the comments here on AirNav. This is a bait and switch.

From Dennis Haber on 19-Dec-2008
The gas price is a bait and switch. There is a $15.00 ramp fee. This is very disappointing, and is being panned on the Cirrus forum. Charge what you must, but don't be deceptive about it.

From Tom Burke on 06-Dec-2008
The price posted on AirNav borders on fraud. There is a $50.00 handling fee for single engine aircraft. When questioned the line person arrogantly responded that the $2.61 advertised price was for full serve but there was a $50.00 handling fee as well. I for one will never do business with them again and will be ready willing and able to spread the word about their business practices. I am protesting the bill with my credit card company.

Response from Jodie Chodak, Director of Client Relations, Key Air
Key Air Treasure Coast would like to take this time to thank everyone for the valuable input in regards to our new Platinum Fuel Program. Your input has helped us re-evaluate and re-structure our fees, allowing for a more cost effective alternative to make the switch to our FBO. We are looking forward to hearing from you and the possibility of serving your aviation needs in the future.

From Joe Billings on 03-Dec-2008
AirNav needs to ban key air from advertising "$2.61/gal" when in fact they add a $48surcharge to each transaction for single engine aircraft. Nice people but Bad Karma

From Bob Bliss on 29-Nov-2008
Warning, Will Robinson! Luckily I called before going there for their "cheap" posted $2.61/gallon avgas. There is a $120 handling fee on a twin ($70 or more for singles), bringing the real cost of fuel up by a buck a gallon or more. Don't get fueled, err, fooled, by the bait-and-switch! Buy your gas from someone else that gives a real price and doesn't game the AirNav system!

From Bill Hempel on 28-Nov-2008
Be careful of the "Handling Fee" as posted on the web site it really changes the price of gas. "**Full service prices subject to Handling fee - Please Call FBO for details"

From Adam Norwitch on 28-Nov-2008
I called to check on the fuel price for my flight to south FL from Georgia and found that there is an FBO fee of $50 for my single! Caution, the advertised price is not the REAL price.

From Mike Ferrer on 27-Nov-2008
Gas price looked to good to be true. It was. They have a ramp fee that starts at $50. You need to factor that into the total price.

From James Knollenberg on 26-Nov-2008
Beware of the "Guaranteed" full service pricing. There is a "Handling Fee" to get this pricing. Today, I was quoted $48 for the so-called handling fee. I think this is very misleading and I hope AirNav does something to discourage it. The fine print on the FBO page discloses that there is a handling fee, but it does not say how much. As long as this practice is permitted, it renders the AirNav fuel prices meaningless.
