My elderly parents were going to drive to the vicinity of the Republic airport near the end of the month. This is not a good idea, so I am going to fly them into KFRG instead. I wanted to ensure I was fully aware of the actual instrument routes and procedures utilized by the Common-I (approach control). For advice, I called Miguel at the Academy of Aviation. He gave me a real-world briefing of routes and procedures, based on his daily experiences, flying in the system. He was extremely helpful and a real professional. I have no doubt the quality of training delivered by his team is equally top notch.
