This is one of the best FBO's I have been to. I fly over 300hrs per year so I hit lots of FBO's. Bill, Bill and Larry are great. I couldn't take on any fuel due to W/B and the 3000 ft runway but would not hesitate to pay a ramp fee, but they would not let me pay. SUPPORT THESE GUYS IF YOURE IN THE AREA!!! Thanks Guys

Closest airport and most convenient airport to Disneyland or Knotts. Fueled at the AFI pump (set up like a self-serve pump but their line service performs the fueling, then go inside to pay). AFI's free overnight tiedowns are equally close to either AFI's building or the main airport terminal building (accessed by gate with code). Be aware City terminal only open 8A-5P. After hours bathrooms were not found (so "GO" prior to airport arrival). AFI staff is really nice and accommodating. Try Alex at the discount taxi service "Cheapest-2-Ride" (714-280-3035): $15+tip one-way to Disneyland. Try to book a day ahead for prompt pick-up. Would suggest airport place a porta-potty somewhere on the ramp for after-hours.

WOW. A one stop shop - affordable fuel, battery jumps, rental car, tie downs, pilot shop, flight planning - with service that makes you feel like a long lost family member. Before flying in from Las Vegas, I called and Bill Jr. suggested a different route to minimize turbulence (it WAS smoother). When my battery died, Nathan provided a jump in what seemed like a nanosecond. When tie downs were full, Nathan volunteered to escort me to tie downs on the southwest ramp and back to AFI where my rental car was ready to go... During what I later discovered was his break time. Unbelievable. Don't miss the hand carved planes adorning the ceiling of various rooms - the artist works in residence and is a fount of knowledge. Bill Sr. runs a great operation and was kind enough to allow this first time visitor to interrupt his day and chat. I will definitely be back!

Arrived at Fullerton airport on 9/12/11 to find rental car ready to go, with free parking for the week in front of the tower provided by AFI. They provided a gate card so we could drive up to the plane to unload, and then again on 9/16/11 when we returned to load the plane. Required to pull up to the pump for fuel, but an AFI person did the fueling and topped off the pressure in the main tires with no extra charge. Fuel price at the pump was much cheaper than from the fuel truck. Wonderful customer service. Will definitely use AFI when I return again to Fullerton.

We stopped at AFI recently on our vacation and wanted to write and commend Larry and the rest of the staff for providing such great service. Not familiar with the area, they took the time to answer all of our questions and took great care of our airplane while it was hangared there. We would highly recommend AFI! Thanks again for everything.

Easy in and out for Disneyland. Best part was Gary's Aircraft Detailing. Recommended by FBO. Best aircraft detailing ever. Aircraft looked new. For anyone staying in FUL for a few days I highly recommend to call Gary at 562-743-9656.

This was an outstanding experience. They pumped self serve fuel for me, and service with a smile. Provided help with baggage, both loading and unloading. Met Bill Griggs Sr. and Bill Griggs Jr. Both were very polite and helpful. I'd highly recommend this FBO for any trips.

Great service. I flew into KFUL on 2 Apr 11 for a surprise trip to Disney Land. They gave me great info in advance of my trip, pumped the gas for me even though I was at the self-serve pump, provided a tie down (free) and even helped with telling the kids they were going to Disney Land.

Perfect place to park and head to Disneyland. Even though it is "self fuel" AFI was there to fuel the plane for us, call a cab and help move the plane to their transient parking, which, curiously enough, is some distance from their office.

Excellent service. Called ahead to insure space and was able to tie down for our stay at no charge (several days). Flew several short hops (Catalina) while staying at Disney. Refueled on original arrival and at departure after the short trips. Mr. Griggs Sr. is a wealth of info and gave us the tour of the facility and their simulators. Helped us with loading and unloading. Hoping to return soon.

Flew in with three passengers for a weekend at Disney. Taxi company took a little while to pick up, but the person at the desk was helpful and called again. On return, fuel order was completed as requested, reasonable price and no parking fees. For LA area, the IFR arrival and departure was pretty smooth. VOR approach puts you on downwind for Rwy 24. Anaheim 3 departure climbs you to the East before turning North and West towards the Bay Area. Not a luxurious operation like you'd see at Burbank or Santa Monica, but I'd use them again if I'm headed to Disney.

7/28/2010 was my third visit to Fullerton. As usual, the staff at AFI was helpful and courteous. They have fuel either off the truck or at the pump. They pump the gas for you at the pump and the guy at the pump recommended I get gas there since it was the least expensive he had. There was no overnight tie down fee either. Whether it's a trip to one of the nearby theme parks or business in the area. Fullerton and AFI are what I highly recommend for all my flying brethren.

Based on the recommendations here, I called ahead to make sure parking was not going to be an issue as I was staying for a few days. Bill went out of his way to tell me the best VFR route in from my direction, gave directions to where they are on the field, and offered to get rental car for us (we already had that covered). Very helpful. The "self serve" pump is manned by an AFI - no need to get out of the plane. On the way out of town, they got their pickup and carried all our bags out to the plane saving my wife and I multiple trips, and gave us cold bottled water. Really nice to see this kind of operation still exists in GA. Kudos’ to AFI - we will be back.

AirNav works well for flight planning with fuel stops. AFI at Fullerton was friendly, courteous and helpful. We are glad FBO's such as AFI update their information regularly so we have current information to work with. In addition, as a courteous they are happy to pump your fuel at their self serve station still offering the self serve price. Thank you AFI, we will be back!

Great FBO. Tied down with AFi for week during October for Disney trip with wife and kids. Arrived late, provided help with a taxi pick up. Upon departure, owner personally took our full load of bags, car seats, etc to the Mooney, which was fueled-up and ready to go. See you in 2010....

Again! AFI and its employees have lived up to their stellar reputation for providing service and taking an interest in their customers. After every visit to AFI, I find myself bringing some of their work ethic home for my customers. If they don't watch out, I will make AFI my primary reason for flying to Fullerton instead of Disneyland!

I've had the pleasure of flying into Fullerton twice and each time I was well served by AFI. On each occasion the rental car was waiting and AFI staff went out of their way including staying late. In each case I had minor mechanical issues for which I needed tools which AFI staff gladly lent. AFI staff clearly understands the importance of and deliver great customer service.

I would like to thank AFI Flight Training Center at the Fullerton airport for the great service and help on my recent trip to the Fullerton airport. I found the hospitality and service to be excellent and more than anyone could expect. Arriving for the first time into Fullerton I was met by Larry and guided to a parking space (no cost for parking). He called for a ramp vehicle and quickly got our bags loaded, Katrina called a taxi and we were off to Disneyland. After a great week at Disneyland we returned to our plane to find a dead battery. Larry put it on his charger (no cost to charge the battery) and shortly thereafter it was in the plane ready to go. We were treated to full fueling services at the self-service island, not only that, but Larry waited by the plane to make sure the engines started. I strongly recommend, that if you have a chance to visit the area, you patronize AFI Flight Training Center, you will leave there smiling all the way home.

Great FBO. We arrived on June 27th in our Arrow for a visit to Disneyland. Upon arrival, we taxied up to the fuel pumps and were met by the line folks. They fueled the plane and directed me to a free tie down for a few days. They helped unload the plane and load the rental car. We dropped the car off early and they called a cab to take us back to the hotel. We departed on July 1, VFR up the coast. One of the CFI's showed me a direct route out and how to deal with traffic. Every one went out of their way to make sure we had a great experience. I'll go to AFI again, and anyone visiting SoCal should use KFUL and AFI. NO place else compares. Thanks to all.

AFI is a great FBO. They provided free popsicles for the kids and cold H2O for all. AFI arranged for rental car and as usual fuel the tanks at the self-serve pump with a smile. Thanks AFI for a great Disneyland stay!! Note for A36TAT owners. We departed R24 full gross, 88F, ~2-3kt headwinds, using short field technique wheels up 1900ft, cleared 50ft at ~26000ft. Tower was kind and very helpful and coordinated SoCal squawk for flight following before departure. Thanks KFUL we'll be back!

We had an excellent experience with AFI. Easy parking assisted fueling and prompt handling of our Enterprise car rental. Disneyland is about a 15-minute drive and the costs at FUL are substantially less than SNA, with very light airport traffic. We'll definitely use FUL and AFI when we're in the area again.

Was in SoCal the month of Jan. 2009 and the staff at AFI were very friendly and professional. They let me park in the guest parking for an extended period as long as I was buying there fuel. Very good people and I'm already looking forward to my trip down south again. Also, being that I'm from Idaho and don't fly into controlled airspace much, I found flying into Fullerton a breeze and the tower was very friendly and helpful!!

Good service. Easy in, easy out via IFR. Note that when filing to or from the east; consider making SLI VOR your final waypoint. Most clearances seem to include it, and you'll be routed there anyway.
