This is one of the best FBO's in the country. The staff is very efficient and friendly the facilities are first class. They treat both the single engine plane and jet customer the same with out the arrogance displayed at some of "our large city FBO's" who are doing you a favor just to let you park on their ramp. The added touch a box of the local candy producer on departure was icing on the cake!

Terrible customer service. Called ahead, said they had two crew cars, but was first come, first serve, would not save one for us. Called five minutes out, said one was available. Walked in, surprise! None was available, but one was reserved for another crew. DUH! But they were quick to point to the rental counter, where we got the great rate of $45 just for one hour to go have lunch. Then manager said it was just miscommunication, but promptly added that it was a 100 gallon minimum for a King Air, at $6.59 a gallon, thank you very much! Even though we only came from EGE and only burned 45 gallons getting there. Line crew was great, but CSR and manager need help. Only FBO on the field, so avoid this place if at all possible.
Response from Teresa Garner, West Star Aviation In response to Mike Krellers' comment, West Star Aviation does have two crew cars available. We will gladly reserve them if a customer calls in advance. Mr. Kreller called five minutes out on Unicom and asked for two cars, at that time one car was out with a customer and one was reserved. We did offer our services for a shuttle to eat, which he did accept. Unfortunately, his passenger had a meeting down town out of our shuttle range. We do have ramp fees when an aircraft does not purchase any services. West Star prides itself on exceptional customer service and extends an invitation for Mr. Kreller to visit us again!

Finest FBO facility we've ever visited. Stopped in on our way from Casper to Sedona for lunch. Close and easy access to many restaurants and hotels in town. New, clean Crew cars, helpful friendly staff. Beautiful Airport, Top class FBO! i

Stayed overnight July 9 after a long days flight. Have to Say West Star Aviation is one of the top 10 FBO, s in the nation. When you land there you know you’re at the best. Make sure you have a motel reservation, as this is a stopover for I80 travelers

We work out of West Star every year and really look forward to it. Not only do they have govt. Contract fuel, their maintenance Dept is very familiar with the Garrett TPE331-10 engines on our AC-695A. They have always found a way to accommodate our need for hangar space, which is a primary concern for our choice of locations. GJT is a great airport to work from and the folks at West Star make it even more enjoyable.

AWESOME, AWESOME, AWESOME..... These guys should be on every field. Even though I was among 50 or so Citations and Gulfstreams West Star was first class all the way. They fueled when we asked and put the right amount on board and took care of everyone of our needs. THANK YOU SO MUCH WESTSTAR AND STAFF.... STOP IN AND SEE THE BEAUTIFUL FACILITY AND GREAT PEOPLE. A WORLD CLASS SERVICE IN A SMALL TOWN....................THANKS AGAIN

We did two quick turns here this week. One was late at night and they stayed open for us. Great efficient stop. Passengers loved the boxes of candy they gave us. It is good! Hey, this place has been remodeled since our last visit! Looks wonderful!

This is a great FBO- friendly, helpful and a great newly remodeled facility. As the only real FBO on the field, they don't have to be this nice, but they are. The front desk and line people are super-helpful, prompt and courteous. The new two-story facility has a welcoming lobby, an amazing espresso-cappuccino machine, pilot's lounge, etc. The overnight single's parking charge is waived with a fuel purchase. Self-serve fuel is available a bit cheaper elsewhere on field, but considering the savings on the parking charges, fuel up West Star and help these guy keep this facility in top-notch condition for general aviation. These folks deserve your business because they treat you well no matter how big or small, whether you buy 20 gallons or 200 gallons, and because they are just plain nice. If this FBO were at Denver or Santa Ana, you'd be paying triple the prices for such service. As the Terminator says... "I'll be back".

We were in GJT for 2 nights on Sept 2 and 3, 2006 and Lizette arranged a hotel with a great discount and after a couple out and backs prior to purchasing fuel, gave the same great hospitality. We'll stop back again.

On the way back to CA Nov 2005 we stopped here for fuel. The facility was so nice and staff so friendly that we decided to stay a couple of days. They got us a great rate on a rental car and hotel. In June 2006 we came back to see the city again. We bought a house, sold our home of 28 years in CA and moved to Grand Junction!

Wife has been flying for 40+ years and it has been 3 years since she was in GJT. She wants everyone to know she thinks the new facility is the "classiest" she has seen in her entire career. Kudos to the folks there.

I landed my 182 here en route SQL - APA because of severe weather and night! Facility is luxurious "western lodge" style. Top off fuel discount is great. Desk girls got me a 30% discount on a hotel room and then their lineman took me to the hotel. This is the best FBO I have visited.

I stopped here for a few days and the ladies behind the counter were absolutely super. Helped me and a buddy out in a pinch and were very friendly. The line staff was great too. If you're in town, go to the Texas Roadhouse for some grub and bevvies. See ya next time.

They're redoing their digs so there's a temp office off to the side. Fuel prices were reasonable given that they are the only choice on the field.

Excellent service. My tie down fee was waived by purchasing 20 gal of fuel. They plan to move back into their main facility next month, and the floor plans seem to accommodate every transient pilot's needs.
