We were in Steamboat Springs with our B-25 "Pacific Prowler" when the landing gear decided it needed a minor rigging adjustment. West Star was the closest facility with jacks big enough to lift the plane. It was Labor Day weekend, and the shop was closed, but they opened it up just for us, and gave us all the support we needed. We were in and out of there in a couple of hours. Thank you for going the extra mile for us.

If you use the self serve BP will not let you on their property and you must not have an opinion about it or they will call airport security. Won't be back.

Stopped briefly for fuel, quick and efficient service. What impressed me most is that they gave me a box of toffee presumably for getting fuel there. The toffee was excellent and came in handy on my 4.5 hr flight back to CA.

West Star may be the most impressive FBO this pilot has ever had the privilege to visit. Bought a little gas (RV6) and parked on their ramp for 3 nights no tie-down fee. Starting on Aug 1, the TSA has forced them to escort pilots and passengers on the ramp; they were fast, courteous, and apologetic.

One of the finest FBO's in terms of friendliness, service and amenities that you'll find anywhere. I keep coming back for the comfortable living-room-style lobby with overstuffed sofas, fabulous gourmet espresso machine, flat screen TV's, pilot's planning lounge, and not to mention a fabulous unexpected gift made by a local chocolate seller in town. Fuel prices have varied here, so I gladly buy their brand on cheaper days, or opt for self-serve when the FBO is running higher. You get Big City Service here with none of the attitude, whether you're a Citation or a Cessna single.

AGAIN AND AGAIN WEST STAR AVIATION AMAZES MY PASSENGERS AND ME. Even though they are the only ones on the field, these guys are sincerely amazing. Great Service, amazing facility, the Toffee tops it off. I wish these guys could expand and come to Salt Lake and Southern…

The people at West Star picked me up from the airline terminal to retrieve a Learjet that was getting out of maintenance. Very courteous and very professional. Comfortable lounge and lobby.

Probably my number one favorite FBO I've ever been to. Nice, friendly, courteous staff that was very willing to help with everything. Line guy was very friendly, and the indoor staff was wonderful! We were just stopping through for fuel and we got a complimentary box of candy each for the three on board. As well, they had the charts we needed as we got forced south due to weather.

From Tom Jensen on 06-Sep-2008
The customer service and facility is very nice, but I have to complain about the fuel prices. I fly all over Colorado, and as of the past week, I've been paying an average price of $5.40 for jet fuel. That includes airports all over the front range and mountains. Weststar's currently advertised price of $7.20/ gallon is simply robbery. There's no excuse for prices to stay that high when the statewide average is almost $2 lower!

From Craig Ryan on 06-Sep-2008
West Star virtually owns this airport. Stopped here, was led by the "follow me" cart to a tie down. Told the ramp guy I was going to use the SS pump (since it was almost a dollar less!) and was informed I could not remain on their ramp. The ramp guy even apologized, but said it was strict policy. The SS pump at GJC is primarily for the hangar tenants and there isn't even a porta potty. Had to walk about a mile to the terminal to use the facilities. This place is like a bad movie where the bad guy owns the town. If you must stop here, tell them you don't need any fuel and then taxi to the SS pump on your way out...

This is one of the best FBO's in the country. The staff is very efficient and friendly the facilities are first class. They treat both the single engine plane and jet customer the same with out the arrogance displayed at some of "our large city FBO's" who are doing you a favor just to let you park on their ramp. The added touch a box of the local candy producer on departure was icing on the cake!

From Mike Kreller on 01-Apr-2008
Terrible customer service. Called ahead, said they had two crew cars, but was first come, first serve, would not save one for us. Called five minutes out, said one was available. Walked in, surprise! None was available, but one was reserved for another crew. DUH! But they were quick to point to the rental counter, where we got the great rate of $45 just for one hour to go have lunch. Then manager said it was just miscommunication, but promptly added that it was a 100 gallon minimum for a King Air, at $6.59 a gallon, thank you very much! Even though we only came from EGE and only burned 45 gallons getting there. Line crew was great, but CSR and manager need help. Only FBO on the field, so avoid this place if at all possible.

Response from Teresa Garner, West Star Aviation
In response to Mike Krellers' comment, West Star Aviation does have two crew cars available. We will gladly reserve them if a customer calls in advance. Mr. Kreller called five minutes out on Unicom and asked for two cars, at that time one car was out with a customer and one was reserved. We did offer our services for a shuttle to eat, which he did accept. Unfortunately, his passenger had a meeting down town out of our shuttle range. We do have ramp fees when an aircraft does not purchase any services. West Star prides itself on exceptional customer service and extends an invitation for Mr. Kreller to visit us again!

Finest FBO facility we've ever visited. Stopped in on our way from Casper to Sedona for lunch. Close and easy access to many restaurants and hotels in town. New, clean Crew cars, helpful friendly staff. Beautiful Airport, Top class FBO! i

Stayed overnight July 9 after a long days flight. Have to Say West Star Aviation is one of the top 10 FBO, s in the nation. When you land there you know you’re at the best. Make sure you have a motel reservation, as this is a stopover for I80 travelers

Super service and pleasant people. They really know how to do a quick turn!

We work out of West Star every year and really look forward to it. Not only do they have govt. Contract fuel, their maintenance Dept is very familiar with the Garrett TPE331-10 engines on our AC-695A. They have always found a way to accommodate our need for hangar space, which is a primary concern for our choice of locations. GJT is a great airport to work from and the folks at West Star make it even more enjoyable.

From Joshua Simms on 04-Mar-2007
AWESOME, AWESOME, AWESOME..... These guys should be on every field. Even though I was among 50 or so Citations and Gulfstreams West Star was first class all the way. They fueled when we asked and put the right amount on board and took care of everyone of our needs. THANK YOU SO MUCH WESTSTAR AND STAFF.... STOP IN AND SEE THE BEAUTIFUL FACILITY AND GREAT PEOPLE. A WORLD CLASS SERVICE IN A SMALL TOWN....................THANKS AGAIN

From Mike Bare on 09-Dec-2006
We did two quick turns here this week. One was late at night and they stayed open for us. Great efficient stop. Passengers loved the boxes of candy they gave us. It is good! Hey, this place has been remodeled since our last visit! Looks wonderful!

From Paul Fox on 19-Nov-2006
This is a great FBO- friendly, helpful and a great newly remodeled facility. As the only real FBO on the field, they don't have to be this nice, but they are. The front desk and line people are super-helpful, prompt and courteous. The new two-story facility has a welcoming lobby, an amazing espresso-cappuccino machine, pilot's lounge, etc. The overnight single's parking charge is waived with a fuel purchase. Self-serve fuel is available a bit cheaper elsewhere on field, but considering the savings on the parking charges, fuel up West Star and help these guy keep this facility in top-notch condition for general aviation. These folks deserve your business because they treat you well no matter how big or small, whether you buy 20 gallons or 200 gallons, and because they are just plain nice. If this FBO were at Denver or Santa Ana, you'd be paying triple the prices for such service. As the Terminator says... "I'll be back".
