Great stop! Borrowed the c-van to drop a pax down the road & got fuel. Clean airport with friendly folks. Seems to be thriving.

A great stop!! Had to spend two days there waiting out some January WX. Troy put my 172 in a hangar, and gave me the courtesy van and some of the best hangar flying I have had in a long time. There are some interesting pilots based there. The day I left was 15 deg F, Troy preheated my engine. Great stop, service & people

We stopped for fuel and an opportunity to stretch our legs on a Thursday and Sunday. The KC Center freq (127.7) didn't have great coverage over the area so be ready for a phone call on the ground and/or climb to a couple thousand feet before picking up an airborne IFR clearance. The SS fuel facility is very easy to get to (quick taxi) behind the main building. The building is nice but not exceptional - no vending machines etc. In sight but the bathrooms were clean and modern. Also there's a computer with Internet access. Overall a quick, efficient gas-and-go stop.
