We stopped for fuel and an opportunity to stretch our legs on a Thursday and Sunday. The KC Center freq (127.7) didn't have great coverage over the area so be ready for a phone call on the ground and/or climb to a couple thousand feet before picking up an airborne IFR clearance. The SS fuel facility is very easy to get to (quick taxi) behind the main building. The building is nice but not exceptional - no vending machines etc. In sight but the bathrooms were clean and modern. Also there's a computer with Internet access. Overall a quick, efficient gas-and-go stop.

Stopped on my way down south, stayed overnight due to severe weather, manager gave us the courtesy van, good fuel prices and easy to get in and out.

Fuel stop at midnight. Airport lit up beautifully and relatively inexpensive fuel at well lit self serve pumps.

Arrived after the stated closing time and found a friendly attendant who offered me the use of the Ford courtesy van overnight and through the next day so I could attend a meeting. Attendant gave me his home phone number in case I wanted my plane put in the hangar should severe weather approach. Amazing service. Self-serve fuel pump easy to use and $3.40 per gallon which beats my home field!

Nice friendly airport, easy to use CC fuel. Use of the courtesy car made it very convenient! Nice place for a stop. Would recommend highly! Cheap fuel, easy access, friendly people and a courtesy car, what more do you need?
