We came through yesterday aboard a CH-46E test aircraft, transiting from Eglin AFB, back home to HX-21 at NAS Patuxent River, for a quick bite to eat and fuel. When trying to start up, our APU failed to light off. I went to the front desk to get in contact with the maintenance department, and Nick helped me get the tools I needed to get the APU up and running again. He lent me a truck to get all the gear, including a ladder, all the way out to the aircraft. After getting the APU running, I took everything back to maintenance, and we were on our way. Long story short, Nick and the entire Lowe Aviation staff rolled out the red carpet to make sure we were all set. I enthusiastically recommend these guys for your next stop. Keep up the great work!!!

Flew in for the afternoon to watch my son play basketball and Landmark was very pleasant. Met immediately, friendly staff, walked in the door to warm welcome. Fuel is high, so it is everywhere. Landmark does just fine by me.

Flying in and out of Landmark/Piedmont over the past year, I usually see the same one or two willing faces, while everyone else hides. Recently, I, my Captain, and a customer made two trips with the luggage dolly to get the client's luggage (family of five) while a lineman watched from inside the FBO for the full ten minutes we were retrieving bags and loading up right out front. One or two guys will always help, the rest will stand there and watch you and your passengers sweat or will disappear altogether as soon as the door opens and they find out you don't need fuel. The story among pilots based at GSO is that they've spoken with Landmark's corporate FBO Director (VP?) at INT about the consistently abysmal line service, and they have gotten nowhere. So between the high fuel prices, ramp fees, and horrible service, I use Atlantic Aero now and when I'm on the road I advise everyone who mentions a GSO trip to do the same. Landmark just doesn't appear to care.

Spent night in pilot lounge. Real nice people would bend over back words to help you. Got fuel. No ramp fee. Landmark offers a .50 discount to angel flights.

Definitely first class service, but Landmark (nee Piedmont Hawthorne) has gone the way of Signature and other big-city FBO's by instituting a ramp fee ($25) if a certain minimum amount of fuel is not purchased. Apparently the minimum is negotiable; I wrangled the office girl down to 10 gallons (at $4.55 per gallon!) for my wife's 172.

We arrived 10/19 in the morning in a King Air C90A. We left orders to fuel the aircraft and that we would depart 10/20 early afternoon. We arrived the next day in a hurry to leave and found the aircraft was parked 1/2 mile away, way out past the Cessna 150's. It took a few minutes to find our fuel ticket and pay the outrageous price. In summary, first class prices with second class service.

A .35 discount is offered to Angel Flight pilots on a mission.
