Jet fuel price and the actual fueling was good. The facility however is terrible. Dirty smelly bathrooms, trashed snack area, and no crew car. Not surprising that it's run by a government entity. A private enterprise wouldn't look this way

Haven't ever used Genesee as a destination, but it has been a reliable and decent fuel stop between MA and MI for years, most recently July 2012. SS fuel well maintained, computer weather info inside. Rochester approach usually provides hassle-free IFR ops arriving and departing.

Beautiful day, perfect for a trip from KBVI to KGVQ for an annual friends and family party in Pavilion, a dozen miles south. I reserved the plane, plotted the trip, familiarized myself, and then tried to reserve a car to get from the airport to the party. Forget it. Private pilots fly much on weekends, but the Batavia businesses close their doors and go home. Besides, Enterprise and the local Toyota dealer who are the top choices didn't have any cars to rent anyhow. The trip had to be cancelled, and then the Travelodge wouldn't cancel a reservation for that night (insisting that THEIR policy is not 6pm like every place else, but 24 hours notice!). Why would KGVQ be a destination? Why would Genesee County waste tax dollars on it if its use were so limited?

I love this airport. It has a really long runway with an ILS but is never congested like Rochester can get sometimes. It's also has the nicest people at Bosharts if you need work done. There is no landing fee here. GREAT AIRPORT. Lots of fun stuff happens there.
