One of the friendliest and most helpful FBO's I have been to. I flew in on 6/3 to conduct some quick business not far from the airport. Since the courtesy car was already out, one of the employees drove me to my destination and waited for me. Fuel is also cheapest in area.

A real pilot friendly FBO. I visited April 16th to April 20th 2009. The service was excellent and the fuel prices were the best I have seen in N Florida. I can't wait to return

Herlong is a great airport. When taxing in, just call them and they will bring the rental car out to you. They offered to help unload the bags, and tie-down the plane. All very welcomed when the family wants to get out and stretch their legs. I opt for the truck refueling and it works well. When departing, Phillip was aware about the local TFR that was about to go up around Cecil for the air show and helped clarify it for me. Meanwhile, Bryan was giving a tour of the airport to a local kindergarten class. This is a good operation!

I am a King Air 90 driver and Herlong & JAA make for a great resource. The field is convenient to downtown JAX, the people are professional and friendly, and the fuel price was lower than posted. I will stop there again and strongly recommend the FBO.

Stopped by 11/10/2008, excellent experience...Self-serve 100LL was $3.96/Gal. FBO service was fast and friendly. Used their courtesy car, it was a nice vehicle and they pulled it up to the airplane.

I'm feeling guilty because as much as I've used this airport in my frequent visits to Jax, I've never commented on HEG. In short, its a great place to stop. Friendly personnel, easy in and out, and far less expensive fuel than the other JAX airports. About the only time I won't use HEG is if the weather is really bad, which I think has only happened once in my 15 or 20 trips (at least) over the last few years. A good "pilots airport"! Highly recommend!

Great fuel price and service at Herlong. HEG is closer to downtown than CRG and Jet-A was more than $2.00/gallon cheaper. I called ahead and was given numbers for both Hertz and Enterprise to arrange a rental car. Called Hertz the day before and the car was waiting when we arrived. As I taxied in I was directed to parking in front of the FBO. The linemen even knew how to properly fuel an MU-2. The FBO (including bathrooms) was clean and had a nice waiting area for my passengers. HEG may be a small, GA airport, but service is first class and a great value.

Nice friendly stop as always. Ground VHF Freq link to JAX Approach doesn't work, but ask the staff for the direct line to call from your cell from the run up if you're IFR and WX is too low to depart VFR... Works like a champ and Approach is very accommodating. Also, for those who have been before and aren't aware, transient parking has moved to the other side (east side) of the self-serve pump.

GREAT EXPERIENCE will return here anytime I am in the area. Contacted Herlong Aviation and received detailed IFR arrival instructions, rental car, and local area information; all of which were great. Extremely nice facility and EXCELLENT PERSONNEL. Self serve or full serve fuel and parked free with fill up. RECOMMENDED.
