Not to mention they charge a $15 landing fee if don't buy fuel at $1 higher then the rest of the state and that price is not advertised or posted anywhere on the field. Online updates of the fuel prices seem to be few and far between. I have heard that eating at Wings with a great view of the field waived the landing fee but I am not sure if that is still true. This is my homebase so maybe I am a bit biased but I still think the line people are very friendly.

I flew in this past Friday to go to the nearby DMV (flying to the DMV makes it more bearable) in my Cessna 150. I parked next to a couple of S76 executive helicopters and was treated by the staff at Atlantic like I arrived in one of them, not my little 150. I was provided with transportation to and from the DMV and everyone I interacted with was pleasant and helpful. Two thumbs up!

I'm temporarily based @ HFD and renting a t/d from AA. I find these folks to be extremely easy to deal with and always pleasant. Just today, I needed a quart of oil, flagged down the fuel truck, and he hooked me up. Nice terminal facilities, too, complete with a sports bar for the pax!

Service seems to be getting worse. Office staff is good but the line guys are lazy and sloppy. O/N here for 2 nights in a Cirrus. Taxied up and called for parking location. Line just stood around while I pushed the plane back to where the office wanted it. No chocks, no question about fuel. After 15 minutes went to office and they radioed line to refuel and bring chocks. Brought one set, fuel all over both wings. Was to bring a second chock but went for a cigarette instead. If I didn’t have to come here (in laws), I wouldn't. Fuel is over priced and service is getting worse.

I find it hard to believe that Joel Estelle does not want to offer fuel and service at the same level as Westerly, Bridgeport or Groton. He has more GA traffic than all of them. Good food and his staff are very professional. Fuel prices are always 50 cents too high.
