Jet Center at Hawthorne has been a refreshing experience compared to so many others located in the busy Los Angeles area. Donny, Andre, Ryan and Brandon have always been quick to respond to aircraft duties as well as pilot or family needs while landing at the FBO - even despite a hectic schedule. Thanks guys!

Today, Sunday Apr 15, 2012, I requested fuel for a helicopter. After about 5 mins, I saw the truck arrive. The fueler, RYAN was very prompt, courteous, and professional. THX!

No answer on Unicom and no ramp personnel to guide me to parking. Just needed to stop in for 10 minutes but they wanted to charge me $30. I just left. Never again! Worst FBO ever.Response from Donny Sandusky General Manager Jet Center Los Angeles Mr. Mitchell, I apologize for your poor experience at Jet Center Los Angeles. We strive to provide all customers/aircraft with a high level of service. Unfortunately it sounds like this did not happen for you. We do have a facility fee, but we provide the option to waive the fee with a minimum fuel purchase, which can be full service, or self-service, which is competitively priced with airports in the LA Basin. In the event that you do fly into KHHR again please contact me so I can buy you lunch and we can talk about your last visit. Sincerely.

We have been using the Jet Center Los Angeles FBO for several years during visits to the L.A. Beach Cities. They routinely provide exceptional service, are responsiveness to all needs. From their line staff, headed by Andre, up to the boss, Levi and everyone in between; we could not ask for better hosting!

Landed our Citation at Hawthorne last week for the first time. We will be back. The airport was very efficient to get in and out of. The service from all of the people at jet Center was fantastic. In particular Andre went out of his way to take care of my passengers and be an excellent representative for the FBO.

Flew into HHR last night in a TB9 Tampico for a business meeting. First time at Jet Center. Very courteous service, shuttle ride provided to and from my meeting. For the cost-conscious piston-pilot: Call ahead to find out the minimum fuel to get the ground handling charges waived, then swing by the self-serve pumps by the tower on your way in, and present your fuel receipt at the counter. That way, you don't have to wait in line with all the jets for fuel service, and they don't have to crank up their 100LL-truck for a few gallons. Self-serve prices are in line with other LA-basin airports.

Outstanding service. Flew to LA to catch a flight out of LAX. The line had the bags in the courtesy shuttle before I had the cover on the plane. Only took 10 minutes to get to LAX. Easy to fly in and out despite being only 4 miles from LAX.

Landed last weekend. Million Air is gone. The new name is Jet Center. I was on the ground for 20 min dropping off my Dad and they charged me a $35 ramp fee. I can park my C182 at KPOC for $46 a month. I'm never going back there again.

Million Air has always been terrific. I used to commute from SAN to LAX to go to work flying B777's for American - I could always count on Million Air for a friendly smile, a cup of coffee and excellent service!

I love this FBO. They do an outstanding job. Only complaint is with the Holiday Inn Express very nearby. We had two rooms recently and the front desk charged me for a 'smoking cleaning' charge in my room. (I didn't smoke in it and had to dispute the charge with my credit card company) I quit smoking in 1984...... I'm wondering if they "try" that to increase their monthly bottom line. Angie, the General Manager of the hotel was very unfriendly and non-cooperative. Love the FBO, though.

I had a chance to stop in for the first time so that I could pick up my Dad from LAX today. The staff treated me like royalty even though my DA40 only took 12 gals of fuel. We took advantage of the new BMW crew car and cold drinks. I will definitely go back to Million Air at KHHR soon.

Stopped in on a quiet overcast morning yesterday to pick up a passenger at LAX. Waived ramp fee with purchase of fuel and the self-pump price was less than at my FBO. Crew car was available and fantastic. Friendly service at front desk and from the line crew. Great facility. What more can one ask?

I read the previous reports with pretty high hopes of this FBO but found quite a different experience. I ended up parking and chocking myself on the ramp and no one ever came outside as the guy inside was busy watching YouTube. I then asked about the famous crew car available and I would have taken on fuel but the car was "down for service" even though it was sitting idle on the ramp. I was charged $72 to rent a car for one hour and the guy at the desk couldn't answer my question as to how much it cost. I was then asked to pay a $30 ramp fee. Nice building though.

I have flown into KHHR about 10 times and have always had a friendly staff, a decent lunch at Nat's next door, plenty of timely service, and often good airspace advice from the friendly CHP crews that are often at the FBO waiting for a call. And that 535 is the best crew car in California!

I've stopped by here a few times over the past few weeks and I am always please with their service. When you taxi up you can always count on a ramp agent there to guide you to a parking spot. As a pilot I love the cookies and soda fountain. The pilot lounge is excellent with a computer room that has a monitor of the main entrance and lobby area so you can see if you passengers arrived. The pilot lounge is full of comfortable chairs and big screen TV (looks like a mini cinema) Great place I'll be back tomorrow.

Million Air has worked well for me for the last couple of years. However, the service quality dropped considerably and costs rose substantially on my last visit in January. Ready for departure on a Friday evening, I couldn't find anyone on duty at the desk. After 20 minutes or so someone showed up at the desk and I was able to enter a fuel order. Another 25 minutes and the aircraft was fueled. Then I found out that the parking fee had doubled since my last visit, with no break for buying full serve fuel. At $30/night for parking, one would expect the front desk to be staffed. I was billed $150 for 5 nights of tiedown - reduced to $20/night after I complained - and an extra $1/gallon or so I could wait for the "full serve" fuel. Taxiing over to the self-serve pump would have been both faster and cheaper. The line crew continues to be top notch at HHR, but the front office and front desk service have really fallen off. $30/night for a single is more than a bit out of line.

RON several nights Nov 09. Great staff and facilities. I think in today’s environment, Million Air could promote more flying activity to their facilities by making nightly tie down more reasonable for us "little people". However, when I explained I was there to fly Young Eagles (and hopefully, new pilots) they were able to help with tie downs accordingly. Desk and ramp personnel were very helpful and very positive in their approach. Looking forward to flying back. Mach2lou slc thanks!

We just purchased a business in Gardena and have flown into KHHR three times in the last few weeks--all with great service from the staff at Million Air. We plan to make it a weekly commute and in the few we have had--know the staff to be courteous and friendly. Andre is da man! (Carried a large printer/fax in without a cart!) Nice 535 Beemer crew car.

I recently stopped in for a couple of hours to meet family for lunch. Service was great. Prior to arrival was informed of $30 ramp fee, waived with 15-gallon minimum fuel purchase (full or self serve). Self-serve pump did not provide receipt.

Flew into HHR for an event in downtown LA at the Staples Center. Great airport and FBO that took awesome care of us during our short stay. Metro is easy walking distance ($5 to downtown) or taxi (~$40). Next time I need to get downtown I'll be back here. Thanks for the great service.

Flew my RV-4 to Hawthorne. They treated me like a millionaire even though I was not in a sleek business jet. You can tell they really enjoy working for this FBO. We need more folks like that in this country. This is a great place to stop when flying around SOCAL.

Two blocks north of the airport is the Beach Boys Monument. Leaving the Million Air FBO, turn left (north), walk the half block to 120th St., cross it and turn left. Pass the freeway entrance ramp and turn right (north) on Kornblum Ave. The monument, on the site of the Beach Boys' childhood home, is two blocks up, where Kornblum ends at the freeway..

The service was just like previous writers indicated - lineman was there to direct me in and was totally helpful, unloading bags and putting cover on. Couldn't have asked for more. Counter staff was equally helpful. Note thought that they are only open 8 to 5.
