Thanks for the assistance in parking and the spot right up front for the old Bonanza. Direction assistance in parking is always helpful. The visit with old friends locally went great. The airport and facilities are very nice and I look forward to flying down more often.

Fantastic -- can't be beat. I flew in this morning expecting the usual fantastic service and no one was there. The lineman quit the night before but told no one. Charlie (the manager) was out of town, but already had everything in control by the time I called him (on his personal cell phone which is posted on the door). His wonderful wife Kathy was already on her way to save the day. In the mean time, a really neat pilot (James Wanner who runs a charter service "Select Flight") showed up and opened the FBO. He then volunteered to fuel my plane and put it away (and he's not an FBO employee, but he's one peach of a guy). The whole airport is geared for top-notch service -- can't be beat.

Cheapest fuel in/around Houston...Period! While many airports around the country are neglected, Baytown is always improving with a vision for the future. Charlie and his crew are outstanding and the facilities are great. Keep up the great work guys!

Baytown is THE fuel stop in the Houston area. Not only do they have the cheapest fuel in the area, but they have the best service. The airport is constantly doing improvements and upgrades. Charlie, who runs the place, has been a professional pilot for 30+ years. He knows what pilots want, and knows how to treat them. He makes sure his entire staff is on the same page. This will be the friendliest field you ever land at. I loved the experience so much that I made it my home base, even if it is a little more of a drive for me!! You will be impressed with the new runway, taxiways, best price on fuel in the state of Texas, 2 GPS approaches, and the level of service you will receive when you stop in.

Don't look for any help parking but nice facility and help on the tie down. I just had to guess where to park as two people from inside the FBO watched me taxi around on the ramp. Got assistance when fueling the next morning. Cheap fuel!

The wife and I grew up in the area. We had not visited Baytown by plane in over 30 years. What a pleasant surprise. The owners and management have done a very nice job cleaning up the airport and making it useable. It has everything we need. We were assisted in using the new fuel system, directed to tiedown and provided with a nice Hertz rental car. Can't think of anything I would change. 4BH

Great facilities, great folks, and great fuel prices make this a first class "hometown" airport. Clean, comfy facility, pilot planning room, charts and pilot supplies, rental cars and close enough to downtown Houston (22 miles) make this by far the best Houston stop, especially if you're arriving from the east. In addition, on 5/18/11 I had a nosewheel flat on N9200C while taxing for departure at 5 PM. Gary O, one of the locals, came out and helped my get the AC off the taxiway, then called his friends to get the tire fixed after hours. Highest praise and thanks for Dan, Bob, Aaron (local A&P), and Rachael. If you expect better facilities, service and friendlier folks than KHPY, you're just WAAAY too hard to please!

To use the term "impressed" with the service and facility at HPY would be an understatement. Very friendly atmosphere, prompt and courteous service at the pump. Everyone. . . And I do mean EVERYONE made me feel right at home there.

Konan is their newest lineman and he is fantastic! He has obviously been well trained in Charlie's customer-service policy. Actually "customer" is a misnomer, since you never feel like a customer -- they go out of their way to treat you like "family."

Back at my Home Field Baytown after 1200 mile x-country. HPY my home since August, about 2 months. Here is an upcoming, positive airfield. Michelle and Rhonda like Honda w/an "R" friendly and nice. Charlie mgr knows what it takes to accommodate pilots and is effectively transforming HPY to a 1st class facility. New hangars, great fuel prices, comfortable, clean FBO and "whatever it takes" super service. Just happy to be at Baytown Humphrey.

Flew into HPY form Bastrop LA...Delayed so I called ahead to alert Gerald that I would be a bit late -- 20 to 30 min -- Gerald replied, "No problem, I will be here when you get here" I landed about 7:25p Gerald grabbed my aircraft put it in the hangar and we were both on our way. Thanks Gerald for the extra touch. I have now made HPY my home Airport.

We stop in Baytown fairly regularly and I could praise these wonderful folks every visit. I don't however but since they have a fairly new employee (Gerald) I will once again. He certainly deserves our thanks. He's been there for our last three trips and from the beginning treated us like family. Maybe he was coached, because that seems to be Charlie's policy -- treat everyone like royalty. They have always made us feel at home. We don't ask for anything -- they take care of our every need automatically. I've mentioned the manager (Charlie) before -- he's a corporate pilot (Citation) and he knows how pilots like to be treated. He has transformed HPY from an FBO that couldn't care less into one that goes overboard with service -- he and his lovely wife Kathy even treated me to dinner at Landry's on our last visit. You can't ask for any better friends than these folks.

I purchased 50 gallons of fuel today...$3.75 per gallon. Cheapest fuel in the Houston area. I often stop at this airport to purchase fuel. The line guy always comes out to help with the SS fuel station. They have recently remodeled the terminal building. This is one of my favorite stops.

Back again on April 16 and got a chance to go inside this time. Gerald and the rest of the staff were terrific, they even closed my flight plan for me. Computer, restroom, small lounge, and all clean and working well. Definitely going to be a regular stop on my flights to the East/Southeast.

Flew in here back in January. The field is in good shape and the lights worked well. Got here after hours so I didn't get a chance to go inside, but there was ample tie-down space, the fuel price was good, and they had a clean restroom accessed from outside. Good fuel stop while traveling along the Gulf Coast.

Great experience!! Stopped in at Baytown (HPY) due to low ceilings on 2/23/10. I arrived around closing time, and Charlie got me fixed up with a rental car to get me home. I brought the car back the next day & flew the last 37 nm home. Great facilities, nice runway, great service. Oh yeah, THE CHEAPEST FUEL IN THE AREA!!!

My wife and I flew into HPY on 11/18/09 for a 5 day stay to visit relatives in Humble. Could not believe the improvements to the airport in a short timeframe. HPY is now a first class operation for the facilities and service. Fuel prices best anywhere. Rental car available at the field - just sign and go. Plane was fueled and ready to go when I returned on 11/22. Thanks to the staff for the great service. Charlie, congratulations on making HPY a great airport. HPY is now our destination of choice when flying to the Houston area.

Stopped by early in the morning for a fuel run. I hadn't been to Baytown for quite a while, but I checked AirNav for prices and found they were back in business with the best fuel price around. The place has really changed. Nice new offices and pilot amenities. Nice new T-hangars. Tommy helped me fuel up and I found out a lot from him about what has happened over the last year or so. Baytown is only 10 miles from my home base of LaPorte. Definitely worth the short trip to top off.

Called for rent-a-car and couldn't arrive due to weather until 2 hrs. after Raceco's normal 5 pm closing time. They immediately offered to have a lineman meet me at 7 pm. Arrived in the rain and was promptly given direction and assistance to park in front of their main hangar. They offered to put-up in the hangar overnight at no charge and promptly did so using their tow-bot. Needed fuel for the return trip the next day following business meeting, so they topped it off as requested and had the plane pulled out and ready to go the next day. Full-service at the lowest self-serve price in the area. Exceptional and courteous service! Very nice facility. Strongly recommend Raceco at HPY when you are in the Baytown -

Excellent FBO. The fuel prices can't be beat. I am most impressed with the manager (Charlie). He has completely turned a sow's-ear into a silk-purse so to speak. He has completely rebuilt and furnished the FBO (a huge plus, if you care about comfort). He has also widened the runway -- it's now new and smooth. But most impressive is his availability -- when the FBO was closed, I called the second number listed -- it was his personal cell phone. I'll definitely be back -- many times. Response from Charles Danley, Airport Manager, Raceco Inc. Update on airport. Runway and taxiways are complete. Runway lighting is complete and pilot controlled. Beacon is complete. New main hangar is 98% complete, new T-hangar is 80%. New staff at the airport is first rate and very customer focused. Fuel pricing is current on airport. If you don't like something you can call me direct at 713-303-8638.

Just an update on the airport construction. We hope to open 6/2/09 for a couple of days and then close again on 6/4 and 6/5 to finish the striping on the new runway. Plan to be open again full time on 6/6. We have completed the runway and taxiways; hangars are under construction and should be finished in 2 months.

Just a reminder for those who short jaunt within the area that Baytown will be closed until 1 Jun. Yes, we all look at our NOTAMs before heading to a destination airport. Response from Charles Danley, Airport Manager, Raceco Inc. Update on the airport. We have completed widening the runway to 60' all taxiways to 35'. Installing foundations for the new main hangar and new t-hangar. The fuel system has been upgraded. Will be installing new runway lighting with REIL's and PAPI's. Airport should be open again by June 1st. Call or watch NOTAMS.

Worked out of HPY for a month and a half. The staff was extremely kind and welcoming to the crew and myself. We enjoyed our short time at Baytown. Great fuel price and an even better staff. The new manager Charles was great from the start. If everyone that comes in to HPY is treated like we were... This airport will do well. Thanks to Charly, Robert and Michelle (Roger and Melissa :)) for their great service as well.
