  AirNav's published price for 100LL, submitted by the FBO (according to AirNav), excluded a $0.15/gal "avgas surcharge." I have submitted the correct 100LL price to AirNav, and hope others who submit price information to AirNav will also include all taxes and surcharges. Although the published fuel price on AirNav was incorrect, the service here was good on my overnight visit. A Hertz rental car was waiting for me, and the overnight parking fee was waived with fuel purchase.

  Their 100LL is a bit pricy EXCEPT if you use the "self serve" facility. Then it's one of the lower prices in the Bay Area. It's a rather strange deal: they have no self-serve pump, but if you taxi to where it would be (if they had it) and pretend that they have one, they'll give you sixty cents a gallon off. Kind of like Les Nesmond's office in WKRP. One proviso - you have to have an account to get the discount.

  Be FOREWARNED... They no longer have a self-service price. Go somewhere else cheaper for your Avgas. The guy behind the desk quoted me a price, then after I gave him my money, he quotes a price almost .75/gallon higher. Then when I questioned him about it he said the price had gone down. All in all, he was confused (I think his head was in his iPhone). When he asked if I wanted a receipt, I said email it to me (I rent a tie down from them). 3 days later I am still waiting for it.

Mr. Buenrostro, while I am very disappointed to hear of your dissatisfaction, this is a very easily resolved issue that I would have been happy to handle for you before it made it to this level. I have tried to reach you via telephone twice since this issue was brought to my attention on Monday to no avail. We ARE still honoring a self serve price (.60 off ramp) for all customers following our self serve procedures (which all base tenants know since we do not have an actual self serve pump is to: taxi to red box, radio FBO and have a current account with us with a credit card on file) In the future I am always available to resolve this and any other issues that may arise, please do not hesitate to contact me directly.   Good visit cf. Poor reviews below. Staff fine to good, handling good, ramp fee $10 day, car rental fine, bathrooms poor (broken or less than nice, need attention), lobby and pilot briefing room very good.

  I had a previous great experience with APP and wondered how the change to monopoly status would affect them. I emailed to ask about parking rates and did not get a price, so I called and was told my two nights of fees would be waived. When I arrived the desk was friendly but did no have my fuel release, so I ordered fuel and left. I called ahead on the way back to the airport on the morning of 24 July and they said they would check again. When I got there the plane was ready but it still took some time to get the paperwork done, then they told me there would be a $40 (!) parking fee for one night. I complained and the manager waived it, but the overall attitude from both the woman at the desk and the manager was not very friendly. Then after five more minutes of paperwork I was presented with a $50 fee for the GPU, which seemed to be poorly adjusted. Running out of space: bottom line try KOAK.

  :( I'm not happy that APP has stopped giving transportation to BART. I hope this is not a sign to come since Atlantic is no longer there and now APP is the only game in town.

Mrs. Meyer, Transportation service being provided as a courtesy, not just to the BART but many area destinations, had to be reviewed. A noticeable deficit in the level of service we were providing to the aircraft was our deciding factor. Unfortunately, we weighed the cost/ benefit of continued transportation and decided that prompt attention to all our clients was being excessively neglected. In taking the time to listen to our clients and recognized that they should have been our main focus. As always we will be more than happy to provide both taxis and rental car availability promptly to our clients in addition to our crew car for short term use. We apologize for any future inconvenience this may cause you.

  Nice airport. ATC very helpful with progressives. APP Jet Center marked "Atlantic." Very nice line staff. Helpful with car rental. Brought car right to airplane. Would use Hertz not Enterprise as car condition was a problem and FBO staff recommended Hertz.

  Jessica and Nathan were great in arranging a car, which was there before the plane door opened. Pass card to reenter the airport ramp was included with the car so unloading was right at the plane. Fuel service was immediate. Great personnel. I would return to APP at Hayward ant time.

  With very little notice the wonderful staff at APP arranged a car rental and lodging for me. Upon arrival to the ramp the rental car was at my plane before the door was open, carpet rolled out and an entire fleet of guys were unloading the plane for me! The car came with bottled water in the cup holders as well as a gate key for return to the ramp. The service could not have been better, these people know how to do it! I highly recommend APP when in the Bay Area. Oh, they also have the best Jet-A price on the field!

  These guys are great! ("Guys, " per contemporary usage, includes Jessica behind the counter, of course.) Helpful in every way -- including, but not limited to, the quick-thinking lineman who saved my (plane's) bacon from an error I made which is too embarrassing to admit here! I couldn't buy fuel after several days on the ramp, due to weight, but that made no difference in the excellent service on departure, including a GPU. (There was a $40/night ramp fee, which I thought reasonable for my aircraft in this area.)

  Arrived unannounced on 2/21 for a day in the city, great service with delivery and pick up at the Bart station. Upon our return Nate surprised us and had the bugs cleaned off the leading edges, with out being asked. Thumbs up APP!

  Due to the excellent service I received at APP this weekend, I am forced to highly recommend them! Arrived yesterday in a little Cherokee but they took care of me the same, as I'm sure they take care of the jets. I bought fuel so the overnight fee was waived. I called ahead today on my way back to the airport and when I got there, my plane had been pulled up front, was fueled and waiting for me. High class.

  Took charter pax in a little after 2000 in Jan. FBO was open but Hawker was marshaled to an unlighted spot that was not close to the FBO. Service was slow and inefficient.

At APP Jet Center we are undergoing a complete renovation of our fueling facilities. Unfortunately the majority of our ramp lighting was temporarily removed due to the construction. Exceptional service is of utmost importance to us and we would love the opportunity to prove ourselves to Mr. Greene in the near future.

  I'm based at HWD. Please note that the self-serve pumps are now CLOSED. However, aircraft can still get the self-serve price by taxiing to the self-serve pumps, where APP will fuel you from one of their trucks. This is available during business hours (6 am -- 9 pm local.)

  Flew my Mooney in last Sunday to take my 10 year old son and his friends indoor skydiving at iFly nearby. Had never been to APP at Hayward before. I called ahead to arrange a rental car but when I arrived they loaned me their brand new crew car instead at no cost. The line staff and reception crew were friendly and helpful. I took 15 gallons of fuel in exchange for their crew car and hospitality. Will definitely return to APP again.

  Flew in for quick visit to the USS Hornet. APP Jet Center quickly found us a rental car & took excellent care of our airplane while we were there. Very friendly & the Self Serve 100LL was the cheapest you will find in HWD

  Flew in yesterday to pick up a PAX. I figured that I would be paying a ramp fee, as I didn't need any fuel. I was pleasantly surprised when they didn't charge me. We got great service and will be back again!

  I flew into Hayward and spent several days there while completing an aerial survey in the surrounding areas. The guys at APP were very helpful in getting the aircraft fuel promptly and bent over backwards to help us get our work done.

  I fly for both business and personal, and fly quite a bit. The entire team (especially their manager, Nathan) at APP has been EXCEPTIONAL. Fantastic service, great prices, incredible attention to detail. They define what the standard of care and service should be for all FBOs. Also, with such close proximity to Bart, they are our preferred location when visiting any part of the SF Bay Area.

  We arrived in without prior notice and were met by very friendly and helpful staff. They arranged quickly for a car and hotel for us! The facilities aren't fancy, but had everything you need, including coffee and weather computer. Would stop there again.

  APP Jet Center and its staff went out of their way to assist me. The General manager (Nathan) took time to personally greet me, arranged for a car and Hotel. The service was quick and professional. I would highly recommend this facility at the Hayward airport. Great job.

  My first impression was that Christine could not have been more thoughtful. After taking my information for a rental car for the next day, she offered that APP had a crew car that would be available for our use. Each person we met followed in Christine's path of thoughtful, professional attentive service, from Alex, the general manager to Leonard and his partners on the line. Their fuel price was less than posted, and my wife and I both decided that APP will be our FBO of choice whenever we visit Hayward. Thank you for making our quick trip so easy and enjoyable.

  I fly a Cessna 414 for a Corporate Group. I was informed of an overnight trip to the Bay Area. I called various FBO's in the area and decided to try Volo. They had the lowest priced fuel and there were no ramp or overnight charges with fuel purchase. They have the best coffee of any FBO that I have visited. Leonard was very helpful on the ramp.

  Flew into Hayward in June. Called ahead on the week before to set up a crew car. They assured me it would be available. Ground Control directed us to the ramp. There were no markings indicating where to park, or personnel directing us. With no clear markings, I inadvertently parked in another FBO location. As I went in and asked about fuel, the crew car, and a tie down, I was told "the fuel pump is broken until morning, there was no crew car available, and just park your airplane in front of the pumps." I mentioned I hadn't seen any tiedowns there. They said to just park the plane there and not to worry about a tiedown, as "it'll be fine, nothing happens to planes here. If you really want to tiedown, we can direct you a couple hangers down." Needless to say, I was less than impressed. My decision was to taxi down to Atlantic where I've always gotten great service. In fact, the fuel was $0.52/gallon more, but I got a free crew car for the night. I won't be back to Volo.

  Great service; Volo has a crew car (mini van) available for short trips. They helped shuttle me to retrieve my own car from the shop, and let me park the vehicle overnight at the FBO. I'll be back!
