FBO is privately owned and operated, though access to the bathrooms and lounge is available to GA via keypad on main door; entrance code is the first three digits of the Unicom frequency.

The FBO is out of business, although the restrooms are unlocked but lacking soap. The glider club and machine shop seem to run the place. Cheap gas is available through a 24 hour self serve pump.

Hartford was a pleasant stop on the way to Oshkosh '07. As we arrived 3 antique planes were leaving and a J3 Cub was doing touch-and-goes. Like stepping back in time. Self-serve worked fine and was a great price (MOGAS 93 octane) just as shown in AirNav. Only negative, no terminal/pilot lounge, just a chemical toilet next to the gas pumps. But still worth the stop.
