Diverted to Ashtabula because of serious winds at our original destination a few miles away and had a very nice stay there. Didn't get charged for overnight tie-down, and the staff was very friendly and professional. Huge facility in great shape. Thanks!

Citation II flight crew from La Crosse, WI who frequents the airport. Runway is in good shape and FBO is friendly. FBO facilities are older, but WSI weather and wireless Internet ARE available. Very reasonable landing fee and many pilot supplies are available. They allow us to use the courtesy vehicle when necessary for a much deserved lunch break! Jet crews can be demanding, but this FBO does their very best to accommodate! Thanks Lakeside.

I thought just saying "Ashtabula" on the radio was fun, but getting the "Oshkosh" rate of $3.70 per gal really made this stop worthwhile. I got help from the maintenance fellow with the hose, and the self-serve credit card swipe works fine. Nice airport, and they've got wireless Internet, as well as a weather terminal. This stop works for me.

Self serve fuel keypad operation is not intuitive when entering your tail number. Main ramp is undergoing rehab and has been repaved. VOR checkpoint is no longer visible, so an on-field VOR check can't be done until it is re-established.
