I was going to do business in Kingsville so I made my usual call to get a rent car, etc. The owner informed me that there was a $35 landing fee for my light twin. I opted to go to Alice which is 15 minutes by car from Kingsville. The county needs to look at what has happened in Europe to General Aviation when government over taxes. I called the county judge and voiced my displeasure. Please help the FBO at Kleberg and do the same.

People are friendly and the FBO is old but clean and nice, if you fly a twin get ready to pay a $35.00 landing fee if you top off or not. According to the guy that fueled us the city wants' to refinish the runway and taxi surface so there charging only twin engine aircraft a $35.00 landing fee with or without buying fuel. We opted to take on 40 gallon instead of 100 and eat lunch at Brenham (11R), didn't save any money but the hamburger and service was worth the extra stop.
