I brought my family in for an afternoon. I called about 20 minutes out and asked for a cab and a tie down and everything was there waiting for us when we got there. Nice people to work for and they have awesome cookies and popcorn!

Stopped in Air Wilmington Sunday Aug 21 while flying an Angle Flight. I was there long enough to drop of a kid and was informed that I would have to pay a ramp fee. I have logged over 150 Angle Flights and have been to many major airports and have never been charged any fees. When I called the owner to discuss this matter he informed me that he is not into giving charity to anyone. Aero Services would be the FBO that I will go to in the future and I ask all other pilots to boycott this greedy FBO Owner.

Air Wilmington's Avgas is marked up about 50% higher than Charlotte area airports at ILM. The City of Wilmington does not do enough to keep avgas prices down and ramp fees minimal.

Never had a bad experience, and I'm here a lot. I hate paying ramp fees and overnight fees as much as the next person however how is it any different than paying to park your car in the city on a lot when you go out to eat. Or for that matter paying to park at an airport. The staff care's about the planes and the people and since it took my life savings to be able to afford mine, I don't mind paying some to have the piece of mind that they care. Fuel is high but that's just Wilmington.

Stopped by ILM on 4/7 to pick up a friend and then drop him off on 4/11. I received an invoice in the mail for a ramp fee. I didn't even get out of my plane and they are charging me for their "services"! When the manager was contacted he basically said tough luck. Well I hope they enjoy my ramp fee since they will never get another dime.

Got to Air ILM for a quick stop, parked myself with a lineman coming out after I had already cut my engine, told him I was going to be here a max of 5 min he said make sure you take care of your 15$ ramp fee before you leave, Went in and asked about it, because I was only getting out of the airplane to stretch my legs, and asked if she could waive it since I parked myself, she said rudely get 10 gal of fuel which I did not need because I could make it to my destination with the fuel I had, or pay the ramp fee, but there was no way to waive the fee. Will never go back to AIR ILM again.

Yesterday I made quick stop in a King Air C90 to drop one passenger and use the restroom. I paid $125.00 ramp fee (or get a top off which would have cost over $1, 000.00...And I didn't need the fuel). Of all my years flying commercial and corporate I am appalled at this. And all the customer service girl did was shrug her shoulders. (She did however hail a cab for us). I will not use Air Wilmington in the future if I can avoid it. General Aviation is already having enough money problems. I will say on a positive note, the line personnel who parked me and helped my passenger were very good.

My original 2000 word rant was too long. Horrible CSR's, $75 ramp fees if you do not meet minimum fuel (had to argue that our Navajo was NOT a turbo-prop), fuel prices that bump Teterboro, "24 Hour Full Service" but no ice and no crew cars after 9pm, Nikki-the only good CSR is now gone. Overpriced maintenance. Myself and our 8 business aircraft fleet will be at Aero Service.

Not real impressed- I bought fuel on a Friday, returned Sunday to just drop someone off. I parked without the services of a lineman but was told I owed $15 for a service fee. When I pointed out that I had bought fuel 48 hours earlier, was just dropping off somebody, not using a courtesy car or even eating any popcorn, and the services had been non-existent, the girl just shrugged her shoulders. Since Signature Savannah waived their fee in exactly the same situation, I was hoping that the desk had the same authority. $15 is not that much, but more than they deserved, but I really expect more than a shrug of the shoulders. I will be checking out other options.
