Nice FBO, Nice people, But after calling ahead to confirm a taxi to town for dinner and shopping I was told $ 10.00 one-way. The trip to town and back (10 miles) cost us 40 bucks, My advice, Call ahead and have a rental car waiting for you and enjoy beautiful Madison Indiana and Clifty Falls.

Landed for fuel @ 1800 hrs. Self-serve fuel. FBO building was locked up so no restrooms, etc. Recommend calling in advance.

Nice long runway and very clearly marked. The problem was that after getting the plane to the pump, grounded and ready to go, the pump price was 4.15 and not the 3.60 advertised on AirNav. How hard is it to keep prices updated, airport manager?? That difference over 97 gallons adds up. I suppose one has to call ahead all of the time. Ugh.

May 23, 2009 - Flew in to hike the Clifty Falls State Park all day. Very nice building, very comfortable and clean. No courtesy car, taxis to/from town a bit pricy. Mark was willing to give us a ride to the park, though. Fuel price was very reasonable. This airport is out from town and in farm country, so no nearby restaurants or stores. We'll be back for the park, and will bring our own food and plan on a cab.
