Nice facility and no fees. The ramp had plenty of tie down spaces with tie down rope in each spot. Check hotel availability in advance as there is a shortage now due to the 2008 floods.

Just wanted to say thank you for the great service under difficult circumstances on Sat., June 14, 2008. I was picking up a passenger for and Angel Flight and the line-guy and desk worker were great. Also would like to thank you for offering a fuel discount for Angel Flights/Charity Flights!! Helps us be able to keep going when the fuel prices are so high. Hope all of you at Jet Air stay safe and dry.

Jet Air flew my husband from flooded Iowa City to Cedar Rapids this morning. The airport itself is safe and dry from flooding, the staff and crew very professional and friendly, the facilities clean and comfortable. Thank you Jet Air, especially Scott, Maren, Kirk, Tessa, and whoever is the lineman today! Nora Roy, aka Nick's Mom

02/24/08 my wife, son and I spent the night at KIOW. We arrived at about 8PM on Saturday evening. Pulled up to Jet Air to find a much needed electric cord and chocks for our use (Temp 0 deg. F) even though the FBO was closed. We stayed at the Heartland Inn, had a great dinner and free shuttle to and from the airport. We arrived at Jet Air at 0730L and were greeted with efficient enthusiasm (Mike W). My airplane was defrosted inside, fueled and ready to go in a jiffy. We had great service, in a nicely appointed FBO by a great staff. We will go again.

Stayed at Iowa City for a week and hangared the entire time. Hangar was cheap at $25/night. Service was lackluster at best. Supposedly they have 2 crew cars but they were never there nor could they say when they would be back. Overall ok but not that great. New runway extension being built.

STAY AWAY FROM JET AIR!!! I flew into IOW from APA on the way to my DPA home base and experienced TERRIBLE service. My wife and 4 kids were sick with the flu and we called ahead for full-service w/ a quick turn. After waiting 30-45 minutes the fuel truck driver told us to "do it yourself" and was very rude. My wife was in tears looking at how miserable my 8 and 2 year-olds were. We just wanted to get home ASAP. Use Des Moines FBO's and stay away from Jet Air. They also have operations in GBG and BRL...Maybe best to avoid these too.
Response from H. W. Timmons, President JET AIR, INC. The poor service Mr. Burshtan received at IOW was completely unacceptable and we have called and emailed Mr. Burshtan with our sincere apology. This was not the level of service expected and normally delivered at the Jet Air facilities and the employee involved is no longer employed. I personally extend my apology to Mr. Burshtan and anyone else who might have received sub par service at any of our facilities. If anyone experiences poor service at any of our facilities, please call me directly at (888) 253-8247. Sincerely, H. W. Timmons, President JET AIR, INC.

10-31-07 Upon arrival I realized the ASOS did NOT NOTAM the men working 7/25 very concerning situation to touch down then observe people working on the runway, real surprise. I parked my twin out of the way at the FBO-Jet Air, and went inside to ask for assistance getting the aircraft moved and parked away from the workers dust path that was sand blasting my recent paint job, the FBO desk and staff were rude, condescending, and treated me like a second class citizen. I was very offended and decided to purchase fuel at an alternate airport rather that patronize the ill behavior I received. I reached out to the owner Harrell Timmons and the VP Phil Wilford, both seemed to care less about my experience and both seemed to be to busy to warrant any consideration for my poor experience by the staff at the Jet Air FBO KIOW. Very discouraging to say the least. I fly 500 hours annually and purchase significant fuel for my twin Cessna's, but I will chose to not do business with Jet Air.
Response from Michael Tharp Operations Specialist Iowa City Municipal Airport Our ASOS system does not have, and has not had, voice recording (notam) capabilities. NOTAM L-21979 was issued for men/equipment working adjacent to Runway 7 beginning September 25, 2007. NOTAM 08/003 was issued in August 2006 for Runway 7 Displaced Threshold of 1000 feet.

Stopped on my way to Oshkosh. Friendly staff offered me a crew car to go to lunch. Facility had a nice lobby, clean restrooms, and a good flight planning room. Be aware of the noise issues, runway in use may not be the most direct into the wind.

A Quality Operation. After an overnight at the Alexis Park Inn (a super place to stay!) my destination was weathered in. The FBO staff went to great lengths to find me an inexpensive rental car so I could continue. I left my plane tied down on the ramp, but they moved in into a hangar when the weather turned bad while I was gone. This is the sort of extra consideration for which I am willing to pay the higher full-service fuel price. This FBO and the Alexis Park make KIOW a stop worth deviating for.

I was in last week on an Angel Flight mission; even though I did not need fuel the line staff was helpful. They also helped my passengers get transportation to the university hospital. Great folks!

Arrived at sunset on a Sunday night in a Robinson R44 helicopter. The super nice line guy, who had just moved to Iowa from Colorado (forget his name), came out, topped us off, brought out the oil drain pan, popped the quick drain on our R44, refilled the oil, gave us the full-size courtesy van belonging to the Alexis Hotel, and carried our bags to the van. If there is a better FBO out there, I'm not sure what it would look like.

Very nice stop! Self-serve credit card fuel pump is very convenient plus they had the lowest price in the local area. FBO has nice lounge and flight planning areas. We will make this a frequent fuel stop.
