I often rent aircraft from across the USA for flying holidays with my friends, never before have I experienced anything like Mid Island aviation FBO. The staff are flexible, accommodating and fantastic! Could not have done more to help, made sure we were looked after even when we didn't fly because of the bad weather. Josh was one of the best instructors I have flown with and I have had a lot of instructors all over the world! I never leave comments on websites but the service here was so good I feel it more than deserves my time! Fully recommend this place for rentals, training and FBO visits!

Bonni and Jaime were very helpful with rental car, hotel and train information. Bonni ensured that our rental car was delivered to New York Jet as promised. I would recommend New York Jet and Islip Airport to anyone needing to visit the New York City area, as it is more economical and quicker to get in and out of than the larger airports closer to the city.

It takes something very significant for me to write a review. Well Easter Sunday was one of those events. I haven't been to New York Jet aka Mid Island Air since 2006. For Easter we flew to ISP to visit. We called ahead for a cab everything was set. We arrived at the FBO were all the memories of flight school came back. Jamie a long time employee was managing the desk. He was so welcoming to my family and me. It was like we came back home. He didn't remember me at first but insisted we take one of their crew cars. We were very shocked at the generous offer. It saved us $60 on carfare. On the return Jamie was there still, he gave us a wave good bye. We felt kind of sad because FBO's are going out of business quite frequently these days. We had a great experience. I’ve been all up and down the East Coast and out West. I never realized that were it all started for me was such a great place. We need to show our support to these FBO's. Next time your in ISP I suggest you give them a try.

One name to remember, Bonni Von Camp. The most devoted corporate services manager helped me in a time of crisis. She was on the phone and taking action to help me. Even though I am a brand new commercial pilot with my first job flying a Cessna, she showed this little gal that I was just as important to her as a senior captain on an airline. I highly recommend the New York Jet Center Mid Island FBO to all commercial and private flyers. Aside from their amazing hospitality, their sunroom, coffee tea and snack choices just made me feel so much at home since I've been on the road for over seven months. The line guys are very fast and efficient and the maintenance crew had no problem staying after hours to fix my vacuum pump. Bonni, John the mechanic, Mike the line guy, and everyone there is an absolute professional joy to work with! Sincerely.

Parked the company Seneca and was treated like I was driving a Gulfstream. I was given a significant fuel discount although my fuel purchase the required amount of fuel. The Caddy crew car was a real ego-buster.

Flew in to do a video shoot and was in and out all day. This is the place to go if you are a helicopter. They treat you like a Jet jockey and that is nice for a change (we burn Jet A also). Thanks for all the consideration!!

Jim, Vince and crew are awesome. They helped pick me up from terminal area and helped with an out of state aircraft brokerage transaction. They have a nice maintenance facility and if in the area again I would use them for my pre-buy inspection.

I recently flew a basketball team from North Carolina to Islip and we parked at New York Jet. I was very impressed with the service at New York Jet. Everyone was friendly and professional. I have probably been to over 50 FBO's around the country and the Caribbean, and I think that New York Jet is the best. Hopefully someday I will get to fly back to Islip and stay at the #1 FBO.

I have been based at Mid Island for 2 years now and have finally got around to writing this long overdue review. Funny how easy it is to take the good services at your home airport for granted. Mid Island employs a truly professional staff, It starts with the folks you're likely to meet at the desk, always helpful and friendly, Bonni, Melissa and Jim will assist you in any way possible to insure that your aviation needs are met. The good service does not end there for the line personnel, maintenance staff and flight training departments are all top notch people who I have nothing but good experiences with. Having an airplane based and maintained by this FBO and training for my instrument rating here has given me many opportunities to interface with these fine people. Mid Island's respect of their employees and commitment to flight safety (FAA safety seminars are held here and plans are being made to obtain a full motion simulator) are evident in everything they do. Highly recommended.

Earlier today we arrived ISP via airlines and were promptly picked up by the New York Jet line. Upon arrival at the FBO discovered a crew food catering item was delivered incorrectly. I don't know how she did it, but Bonni called the caterer and correct food was delivered prior to our departure, which was less than an hour!! Very good nice customer service and courteous line crew. Job well done all around. Thank you!

New York is a tough town, and sometimes the controllers at ISP prove it. But Mid Island is an oasis from the NY "you got a problem with that" mentality. I have always been treated very well and with a smile. I asked for a piece of tape to patch a hangnail, and the manager took me to the first aid cab and gave me several bandaids. The service has always been great and then some.

We are regular customers at NY Jet. Conference room reservations, hotel reservations and ground transportation are always painless and complete. On a recent overnight trip, NY Jet provided a courtesy car and made the hotel reservation, which were ready on arrival for the crew. Bonni Van Camp along with the service staff and linemen are very professional, courteous and helpful. We look forward to long and lasting relationship.

Last week, we purchased an Eaglet made by Tecnam at Oshkosh 2009 from Lou Mancuso at Mid Island Air out of 7 other light sports aircraft on display. Lou was extremely helpful. The Eaglet was flown from Oshkosh to CA, 1600 mi, 16 hrs. Lou and Mike Bellenir (the ferry pilot) stayed in contact with us all during the 2.5-day trip. Upon arrival, Mike immediately began instruction for my son and myself. Mike spent 5 hours of instruction each, and 3 hours in pre-flight. Mike is young, very pleasant, not in a hurry, especially with cross winds, an excellent, professional instructor. He knows every aspect and spent time with our 2 mechanics explained every detail. (Mike is also an E&A mechanic). We are extremely pleased with the entire transaction. Had a great experience with NY Jet - had to divert from HTO on a missed approach and landed for first time at KISP. Wonderful ground team, allowing me to use crew car to get a friend to a necessary meeting. Bonni, the corporate services manager - was wonderful! I'll look for reasons to go back again
