Today we had the pleasure of visiting Gateway Aviation with our SR22. What a great experience! Prompt, courteous, friendly and very professional service. Competitive fuel prices and a clean very low mileage crew car. We will be back again.

Wait a long time to be refueled, then went to pay, I found out that they had top me off, not as requested, down to the tabs. When asked about the problem, their best answer was to apologize, but...What about if I was over gross weight??? They do not care about the little guy, more they like and serve the Air Force/ Marines.Response from Matt Nebgen, Manager, Gateway Aviation Services Mr. Moraru I am very sorry your experience at Gateway Aviation Services was unsatisfactory. I want you to know that we do not distinguish between customers here at Gateway and I apologize if that is the impression you were left with after your visit. Our goal at Gateway is for every customer to feel appreciated and have an excellent experience. I hope you will come back again and give us an opportunity to change your mind about our service at Gateway. I encourage you to contact me or my Supervisor on Duty directly whenever there is an issue so we may have a chance to fix it on the spot.

As usual a good experience, everyone has been very good to us. Really like the people who work there and like the FBO, it's a very nice facility. But, like the rest of the flying public I am concerned about the price of fuel these days and considering there is a large variation in price around the country I try to shop/plan wisely. Prices range from $3.60 to $9.61 around the country as of today. Gas at KIWA was advertised as $6.17 then they add in tax when you pay the bill. Not that the tax is a lot but seems it should be added into the advertised price.Response from Matt Nebgen, Manager, Gateway Aviation Services Mr. Jensen I want to thank you for posting your comment regarding our service at Gateway Airport and your additional comment regarding our pricing. I agree with you completely that our pricing should be all inclusive or have a disclaimer of the tax. My staff and I working on correcting this issue so that our pricing is easy and transparent to our customers. Thank you again for your comments and for using Gateway Aviation Services.

Flew into here several years ago but don't remember it striking me as anything other than average. Flew in again last week and I'd have to say it was way, way above average. Everything was done right. Super nice and helpful staff. I'll be back here next time I fly to Phoenix.

The folks at Gateway provided excellent service. I need to give a special thanks to Jack and company at Arizona Aviation LLC. Due to the lack of maintenance service at KIWA, Jack and his crew promptly came over from another airfield to service my Mooney for a small charge. I will seek them out again in the future.

Everyone was more than helpful. Especially Kat who helped us with our difficulties with Enterprise to get our car, and the line men helping with getting the plane into and out of the hangar. They even waived one nights hangar fees for purchasing more than 20 gallons of fuel. They helped with the weather computer when it wasn't working and got it up and running again. We were offered four bottles of water when we entered the FBO and then offered two bottles of water when we left. If there were any short comings in the begining they sure made up for it before we left. Everyone was great! Thank you! We will be back! Also, we stayed at the Best Western Legacy Inn on South Power Rd.. This hotel is less than five minutes from the airport, has only been open for a couple of months, is so much better than your usual Best Western. The quality is equal to what you would expect of a Marriott or Hilton. The staff there is great as is Lance, the hotel manager.

I have visited Gateway Aviation about 5 times in the last year. Very nice facility, customer friendly and inviting and persons at counter were especially personable. This last trip (03/08/09) Mike Szyndler was very helpful. I needed transportation and had called rental services with no success. He made a call for me and a car arrived from Enterprise with in 5 minutes. He was very courteous and helpful in explaining other concerns I had.

I was staying at a local hotel a few weeks ago and was suppose to meet one of our planes at Gateway Aviation Services. I found out that day that the hotel did not have a way of getting me to the airport at the time I needed to go. I called the FBO and got in touch with Mike Szyndler, he informed me that he would pick me up and drive me to airport. So that evening sure enough Mike was there in his own car to pick me up. I found out talking to him that he was actually on his time off doing this for me. I could not thank him enough for going out of his way for this service. Mike and the entire crew at Gateway Aviation Services treated myself and our entire crew the same way. Thank you all again, we will be back. Capt. Duane Muckey (Ryan Int'l Airlines- B-767)
