Flew in and out of JFK in Lancair today, Sheltair couldn't have been more accommodating. Jennifer LaRose was working the desk and did a great job. We took care of some paperwork (about 2-3 mins), she directed me to the crew lounge (very comfy), and directed my guest to come and meet me in the lounge so I didn't have to stand by the door waiting for him. Fees were completely reasonable (based on landing weight). I was in/out of there for about $180 all in, and that included 10.5 gallons of 100LL. Without the gas, it would've been around $125 (facility fee was waived with 7+ gallons).

Just called them to verify all fees for a Lancair 360. Off-peak landing $25. $70 parking for up to 8 hours. $32 facility fee, waived with 7 gallon purchase. So, around $127 all in. Not bad, all things considered.

We landed a PA 46-500TP Piper Meridian during off peak hours as we had done a number of times before for a passenger drop off. The landing fee is $25.00 and there should be no parking fee for less than one hour. Please see Port Authority New York and New Jersey to see schedule of charges dated October 2011 after Sheltair took over the FBO. A parking charge was assessed and we were required to buy 70 gallons of fuel to waive the handling fee. Twin engine turboprops (such as Cheyenne) were only required to purchase 30 gallons of fuel to waive the handling fee. If you go to JFK please check the correct requirements so that you do not get surprised. I trust that Sheltair will honor the one hour of free parking (which they said was a Port fee and not their fee)

No change on the Landing Fees (3000lbs): 10pm-3pm $20; 3pm-10pm $120. But... The Sheltair (previously Port Authority) charges $75 parking (even for drop offs) + $35 handling fee + $175 facility fee!!

The Port Authority is no longer operating and Sheltair has taken over. The old reasonable charges for ramp fee are gone and replaced with $75.00 parking fee, $32.00 ramp fee on top of airport landing fees. Flying keeps getting more expensive...So I guess they are pricing smaller GA planes out of the market.
